I think that style of police box is a bit older, as I saw one in a 1930’s British film. Unless it really was the Tardis.

It’s a darn good thing Curzon Dax wasn’t a regular on TNG before DS9. 😉

the first time we saw Dax and got to learn about the character it was after Dax has switched genders. Also we didn’t get Dax switching hosts 12 times over 50 years and never once switching gender.

Dr. Crusher’s male Trill lover, (our introduction to the species on TNG) did switch genders.

This looks weird and interesting.

(I’m getting a bit of a weird 70’s sci-fi film vibe from it all as well. Or is that just me? Obviously SW is from the 70’s, but I’m thinking pre-SW sci-fi films. The sets and locations seem more odd and colourful than what we’ve seen before in SW.)

It’s a Dr. Ball convention! 😉

Seriously though, they do resemble the interrogation droid Vader used on Leia.

I always thought selling the Muppets to Disney was a bad idea.

And we’re talking about the performer Jim Henson picked to be his successor as Kermit. As a life long Muppet fan, this really sucks.

As for celebrities in politics, I’ve been very impressed with Franken, and - suprisingly (to me) - pretty impressed with Ventura.

I’ve long thought Franken to be more serious and a deeper thinker than most non-comedians in Washington…but Ventura? I’ll admit I’m really just going off reputation but I thought he was considered not-so-good.

Ventura has embraced some JFK and 9/11 conspiracy theories.
