Even the congressman who just returned to the job after getting injured in that horrific baseball field shooting issued one of those inoffensive don’t piss off gun lobby statements.

Jimmy Kimmel is right about these guys. The NRA has their balls in a money clip.
Can one just intake the brownies with the secret ingredient? Asking for a friend…
That reviewer seems totally unaware of all the fan preservation work that led to this coming out at all. Bootleg videotapes indeed!
Call me weird, but I want someone to remaster the pan and scan version with this. The fan restoration is still an impressive achievement and it definitely moved the WB corporate colossus to officially release the extended.
Wow, I totally didn’t know Ian was in Dragonslayer. Need to watch that again someday.
How is it people in such lofty positions can be such idiots? Do they think people won’t see the dumb things they say on social media?
It sounds like ‘real stuff’ to me. When you’re more able to type, do you know why you’re getting these migraines? I know someone who got them all the time until they cut caffeine out of their diet, and now just gets them when storms roll in.
Sudden changes in the weather bring em on (so why do I still live in Missouri??), but there’s gotta be other things too. I’ve been on food and sleep studies, but nothing was found there.
I’ve suffered migraines for 11 years now and can relate to that.
Do you know what triggers yours? What do you do for em?
I’ve found that taking a BC Powder as soon as I feel it coming on can cancel it out much of the time. I take at least two every day. First thing in the morning and another late afternoon/early evening. Dr. told me that taking anything for it once it’s set in is about as useful as throwing a cup of water at a house fire.As for my depression and whatever, I feel pretty embarrassed about bringing that to the forums. Thanks to everyone for the kind words and support.
Glad you’re still here!
Caffeine is tops on my trigger list. Had it make a hunger migraine so bad once several years ago, I though I was either going to pass out or die. I don’t drink soda that much anymore, but caffeine free is the way to go.
Cigarette smoke can also be a trigger or make it worse. And possibly other types of smoke or exhaust. The first one I had in 2006 happened as I stepped off a train into an covered station platform. The strong smell of diesel exhaust was like a bomb going off in my head. That’s still in the top five worst migraines I ever had.
Another culprit is open florescent light fixtures. I have enclosed fixtures in my home that don’t bother me in the least. This may be less of an issue in the future as LED types replace them, but some florescents in my house are pushing 20 and show no sign of going bad. Dark sunglasses might help with that. Haven’t had a chance to prove my theory on that yet.
I can also be sensitive to weather changes, (I think barometric pressure has something to with it) as an approaching storm can set one off.
I’ve been often told chocolate is the worst trigger of all, but I’ve never had a problem with it. I think it can really vary from person to person. Other people have told me certain noises or smells can be triggers. And not always unpleasant ones.
In recent years I’ve learned to recognize the little warning signs that a migraine is in the neighborhood. I’ll get light sensitivity, car headlights can be especially painful. And sounds that never bothered me before can be suddenly be shrill and borderline painful. A good example is the timer beeping on my oven.
My migraines are tied to my blood pressure, so if my numbers are good I suffer from them less. Taking meds for the migraine when I feel one coming on can put the fire out before it really starts. If I miss that window, (some get a toehold before I wake up in the morning) it can take hours before the meds kick in. What really drives me crazy is my head will often pound worse lying down so even if I haven’t had enough sleep I have to get up. And icepacks don’t help me much at all.
What is BC powder anyway?
At least he learned how to format his posts since then.
Clueless. Who the hell needed a reminder of an upsetting incident still fresh in the memory? Not me. Not anyone else here. I was sick to my stomach when I thought it was true and sick again when it became apparent it was a lie. I wasn’t the only one.
Enjoy your vacation.

every try fails. aways going wrong
thisis silly
Look, don’t sweat the small stuff around here. I had no idea you were having problems. And it’s hard to distinguish between someone using colorful expressions and someone who needs help. I’ve suffered migraines for 11 years now and can relate to that.
I imagine the extensive location shoot added a bit more to the budget.
Alderaan is being given a chance to apologize for his tasteless statement. Whether he does or not will determine his fate.
Thank you.
It’s the potential trouble it can cause. Look at the comments for any youtube video. 😉
Bottom line. Don’t make political posts anywhere outside off topic again. Especially not in Adywan’s threads. Not even for sh*ts and giggles.
Meyer and producer Harve Bennett sat down and watched the entire series though. That’s how they got the idea to revisit Khan.
Bennett did, did Meyer? I didn’t know that.
Maybe I’m not remembering it correctly, but Meyer made two well regarded Trek films and contributed to the screenplay of IV, so I think he versed himself in it more than Baird ever did.
I did it, and I’m just fine. I’m not sure what any of this proved to anybody.
Do you do everything people tell you to do? Thank goodness Frink didn’t tell you to stick a fork in a toaster! 😉

Nemesis director Stuart Baird didn’t know Trek either, and allegedly thought Geordi was an alien. Levar was supposed to have been upset about that.
JEDIT: Baird’s lack of Trek experience was worse than I thought, if this article is on the level.

For all of Beyond’s story flaws, at least Simon Pegg is a fan.
Yeah, we have that dark edgy BSG to blame for Stargate Universe. And the frakking thing ended on a cliffhanger that’s never going to be resolved unless the new SG show addresses it.
That’s what they always say.

I’m not sure how saying that you don’t like Trump is childish.
It is not relevant to that thread and would likely be considered as flamebait.
It was just a joke from another thread.
AFAIK, Ady and others never venture into off topic, (I should be so lucky) so how could they possibly know?
But can Discovery top the Voyager masterpiece that is Threshold? 😉
