That’s a little bit dark, Ray.
That’s a little bit dark, Ray.

I’m beginning to think Tom Baker really is a Time Lord.

Dye his hair and we don’t need the animation!
When Obi-Wan’s voice says “Run Luke, run!” I’ve always thought it would be great to follow it with “Good dog” and a bark a la this old production bump.
Not sure what movie Alec Guinness may have said dog in, but he does say good in Star Wars. Ewan says boy enough in the prequels to cobble together good boy.
Kind of sad he probably only dented the DS a little.
I still don’t understand why those sorts of fans even care so long as they have their Blu Rays to watch. Nobody is suppressing their preferred version. If the shoe was on the other foot, would they go to the lengths we have? I kind of doubt it.
Hell, we’re preserving the 1997 SE and original theatrical TPM now.
The creepy cultish behavior of some fans troubles me. It’s like the originals are some heretical text to them.
Pixar might make a Star Wars film yet. 😉
Glad they’re keeping the model FX old school!
Maybe if their natural predators hadn’t been nearly wiped out we wouldn’t have a deer overpopulation problem?
Too bad the theatrical showing in my area fell prey to technical difficulties. I wonder if I would have seen the jaggies there too?
Yes, they look lovely.
Haven’t found an inexpensive POTD Blu yet as the only non-steelbook release was down under.
Yeah, I finally caved in a while back and got nearly all the Hartnell and Troughton years I didn’t have already pretty cheap. There are some Ebay sellers who sell nothing but the UK DVD’s. I keep forgetting my LG BD/HD-DVD player has a region hack installed. 😉
Don’t know if I can blame this on Quantum, but I haven’t been able to log into my gmail account since this morning. It just won’t go past the account selection screen.
JEDIT:Nevermind. NoScript is being paranoid.
It wasn’t the compression, it was those annoying jagged lines plaguing the video that makes me think somebody was asleep at the wheel when this was mastered for Region 1.
Hopefully it won’t take too long for this to come out in the U.S., and not screwed up in the video dept. like Power Of The Daleks was.
Again, how do they get away with selling this? And what’s next, a live show in theaters?
Those are both the most awesome thing ever!
Synapse still picked it up. It likely would have been a limited disc run for backers otherwise.
And Manos 2 is coming out. 😉
I wouldn’t mind MST3K or Rifftrax taking it on.
I’m seeing two different H2 editions on Ebay. Only one is clearly marked as the Renegade cut. IIRC, they had to go back and redo the Renegade in HD having done it in SD first time around.
I have specifically asked that the Mary Sue talk should stop. Thank you!
It will be interesting how these remakes are regarded in ten years or so.
Disney seems bent on remaking everything except Song Of The South at this point. I would be up for a new version of The Black Cauldron though.
So, you don’t want to see my moobs then? 😛
Even Rifftrax wouldn’t touch that turd blossom now.
That fact that is coming out at all given who’s starring in it is mind boggling.
