I agree with ya Shunty!
Lucas fucked up the PT on every level ... it looked good in trailers and on paper but when it came down to it im sure it will be known as one of the biggest mistakes in cinema..

I mean to make 3 movies that basically had the story literally written out for him...
all he had to do was fill in the blanks... but obviously had problems doing that...

once a great filmaker, is nothing more now than and old man holding on to his memories of what he once was...

LOL you know i read what u guys are saying, and all you do is prove me right. i am 20 now, i saw Starwars for the first time when i was in grade 4 so i was 10 (you could actually call taht the perfect age for veiwing.) but that is besides the point. looking at the films objectively as i always have, ROTS is by far one of the best ones. it was definitively better then ANH and ROTJ and i would be welcome to go into and indepth analysis with you if you think otherwise. both ROTJ and ANH had so many problems its not even funny. dont think i am knocking the OT either cus i am not its jsut you look at them and there were corny lines there was bad acting and there were bad effects. so back to my original point, i have been saying for a long time on this site that no matter waht lucas does it would not please some fans, even if he actually did make the best films ever there would still be those that disliked them, and why you may ask, it because those fans have different POV and so they will never see any other film the way they saw Starwar when they were little. And instead of just embracing the films for what they were, they mock them and redicule them. its funny cause after awhile it just gets sad and pathetic. you knwo b4 ROTS came out many of the PT hates had a good cause they had good reason to dislike the PT but now seeing people say things like "there not SW movies" "I can't believe how much lucas fucked up" ans so on and so forth its just... i dont know i am at loss of words.

like i said i am 19 no i was 10 when i saw SW for the first time, like 14 when i saw ep 1 and saw ep 2 and 3 on there respective first days. and looking at the 6 movies overall and objectively i have to say that ESB was the best around movie, closely followed by ROTS then after a gap ANH, AOTC, followed by TMP and ROTJ in a tie.

now if you were to ask me interms of enjoyment my list would be ROTS ESB ROTJ AOTC TMP and ANH.

anyway theres my rant, and if anyone is rain one somebodies parade luke its the nay sayers that say a movie is horrid when it was at worst ok. well that just my 2 cents make of with what you will,
luke and shunty you are entitled to your opinions dont think i am robbing u guys of that k. if u think they were bad and that lucas distroyed SW for you then, he did and the only person that is going to hurt is yourselves. i personally think that your love of the OT is blinding you guys in veiwing the PT your expecting something to blow your socks off like the originals did, but they just wont(and cant) do that for you and so you dislike them.

hey anyone have any ideas who master sifo diaz is/was. i been thinking about it what if he was actually darth pladius. master sifo diaz died just b4 ep1 ep1 is when palpi started his little plan.

i dont think pali was as old as yoda how ever i think your right about him changing to his true form, remember in the books hey says, "the face of palpitine has out lived its usefullness, the face of sidius shall now b used" or something to that effect.

thats ez they planned it so that anakin would have a hard life, being a slave, and puting him ina situation where his mom could die in horrible way. its good way to star a kid off to the darkside. also on tatoonie the jedi wouldnt pic up on him where as in the core they would. they wanted him to be old if anything if he were to be trained by they jedi.

well i liked it, if you guys want to nitpik go ahead, i thought it was the best of the PT and better then ANH and ROTJ. es it has some flaws but overall the movie was fantastic, 4 out 5 stars from me. and the space battle as the begining was so cool. i lived how they took a page of The New Jedi Order books with the small robots attacking the fighters.

When I want to see the story of Archer and the NX-01, I watch Enterprise.

For an earlier episode, the backstory may have been a nice touch, maybe, but for the finale? I wanted a totally 22nd century, NX-01 crew story for that.
