Looks like 6 times in the theater is the most on this thread so far. I guess there is an honorable mention of 12 times but that was with a home copy. Looks like star wars will be the number 1 movie this year so far. Batman and War of the Worlds have only done around 200 million dollars in Box office sales

So just home many times did we pay homage to the theater to see the last star wars movie? What was your experince? Somes head right in your view or did you sit next to someone that makes to much noise?

I only saw it twice. My first time I saw it was in Spain. I left for a Europe Trip just two days before the US release and did not get to see it until almost two and a half weeks later. It was in English with Spanish subtitles. I am sorry to say that their theaters were horrible... Assigned seating and small screen size. I have seen TV's bigger than this screen. ... No offense to Barcelona, Spain, beautiful city crappy theaters. Then I saw it in the states in a THX Theater one weekend and it was packed! I was 4 rows from the front. I have not seen it since, because of other summer movies like Batman and War of the Worlds. So I am kind of sad with my Theater experience with ROTS. So I am looking forward to the DVD release needless to say.

Braveheart and Gladiator are really good soundtracks. Danny Elfman stuff is always good for batman and spiderman.

My Favorite is Tie- Tanic. Very funny! Tie Fighters blow up the Tietanic, but the most funniest part is the dialogue in the begining.

If it was not for the SE I would have never have seen star wars at the theater. I was only one when ROTJ came out in theaters. Then for many years all I watch was ROTJ recorded of HBO. So I am very glad that lucas came out with the SE!

I don't like Luca Bashing or Bashers so I will save my opinon of them for myself. I will not add to their fire. Lucas though can be an enigma and does things that make no sense to us but makes perfect sense to him... So Hyperspace stars or no Hyperspace stars, he does what he wants because they are his movies and it is impossible for him to "screw up the movies"

That said

I still miss the Hyperspace lines... Who else here does!?

Is it just me or do others miss the trade mark streaking star lights when ships go to light speed in the prequel trilogy. After rewatching the old trilogy, I noticed that they don't have the light speed lines.

I am I the only that misses them?

I would agree... the Original trilogy has shown how well it can stand on its own.

In my humble opinon I think we Owe Lucas a lot for bucking the norm and doing things completely out of scope!

Yes, It would have just been Star Wars... non of this A New Hope thing or Attack of the Clones. But I just wanted see what other peoples view point are if things were done by the norm... and if the Prequel trilogy could have stood on its own back in late 70"s early 80's as well as the Original Trilogy. Obviously they would look different in terms of technology, but would the characters or the story have attracted as much attention as the Original trilogy. I believe if Lucas started with the Episode one that it would indeed look different, but as he was back then he would have found away to make the movies.

I agree with you there... Darth Simon, from a film stand point the trilogy would be different... GL considered himself a "rebel" in the film industry and he put that into the OT. Now that he has ironicly become what hated the most, a hugh controlling business, in all aspects of the film industry it has effected his movies as well. Do you think the story told by TPM would have the effect on the crowds of the late 70's as they did in ANH?

I was thinking, what if GL had decided to release the saga in order. Would we charish the PT more than the OT? Would the first half have more or less significance than the latter half? Would Star Wars have died a painful existance than, instead of the success that it has right now? Would I even be writing on this forum? Would the prequal movies have had the same impact on movie goers as the original trilogy did in the late 70's early 80's. Think back to the quality of Sci-Fi material back in the Late 70's, you can almost count the good Sci-Fi movies on one hand.... 2001: A Space Odessey and Alien. Would the PT have fueled the love for Sci-Fi as much as the Original trilogy? Are we just so overwelled by the amount of Star Wars and Sci-fi content today that the PT today just did not have that much of an impact on us as the OT?

My whole point of this topic is to think how those that were old enough to see the original trilogy for the first time back then, if they would have reacted the same for the PT like the OT? (I was not old enough to see them when they first came out.) Was society ready for such a story considering the political and economical situation of the time? If the star war franchised fail after TPM what would the movie industry be like today?

So what is your point of view?

Yeah I think you are on to something... For example in ESB Luke survived the fall ... why no lightning. In Return of the Jedi there was lightning and if luke fell like the Emperor fell he would not have lived! So It was Mace Barbacue street pizza.

I wish I had a digital screen where I live. (Portland, OR), but the closest I believe is Seattle Washington. My Imax screen is at a museum where the screen is an actual dome, I saw ATOC of the clones there, and it was just hard to watch it on a dome screen for IMax. Plus they don't put to many actually movies on that IMAX screen. I saw other movies on Imax screens in California and they are awesome. Thanks for the info

Empire is my personal favorite, as it is the majority of this fourm. My favorite moment in the movie is the lightsaber fight is because Darth just toys with Luke by fighting one handed in the beginning. Then later he takes care of business.

My list is

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. A New Hope
3. Return of the Jedi
4. Revenge of the Sith
5. Attack of the Clones
6. Phantom Menance

Toys R Us has some for really cheap. They general run from 10- 20 dollars, comes it multiple colors and made with high quality plastic!

How many saw Revenge on a Digital screen and an analog Screen? Notice any differences or sutle changes like the digital version of ATOC? I have only seen regular version and was wonder if there is any difference if any?
