Glad you like 'em :)
What the fuck did i do to get ignored by this guy? Maybe it's the apostrophe's.
No worries, Frink. I was only messing with you anyways :)
Frink not paying attention? *speechless*

sw(77)-rotj
Star Trek II

Blade Runner
Conan The Barbarian (Conan Der Barbar = lol)
Phantom Of The Opera (1943)
Star Trek 3 - 9
The Terminator
Extras: Ben Hur, El Cid, Metropolis, Pitch Black/COR, Star Trek (the new one), Black Narcissus, Last of the mohicans (Captain Khajiit's Hybrid cut), Gladiator, Solaris, Apollo 13, Heavy Metal, Lost Horizon, Wizard Of Oz, 300... A fuck-load more favorite's too, dont want to clutter up the thread here though ;)
Yep its been out there for a bit, it's in the Star Wars: Visions book.
Edited my above post.
Tried that, Frink, no go. luckily i did end up finding it :)
Thank's Kev, but thats not the thread, Lee does his screenshots differently (Small, clickable thumbnails ect.). The shots i remember were posted kinda like these minus the black borders.
It's nothing at all critical, and i'll be able to get along without the filter, it just looked like it may come in handy at some point.
EDIT: Didn't think to look through avisynth.org's external filters page. Found it!
Hello!
Recently (within the last few weeks I think) I was looking at a sw preservation project on one of the forums here, someone was working on restoring colors in the gout or a laserdisc cap. I belive i saw three screen caps (Comparisons) from SW of r2 and 3p0 on the blockade runner, likely just before 3p0 says "did you hear that"?. And one of these shots said it had a filter on it called ColorLike (I think the filter is used to match up colors from one image to another), i'm pretty sure it is an avisynth filter. I was hoping to try this filter out but whenever i google "AVIsynth ColorLike" I wont find it and now I cant find that post/thread with the 3 screenshots to confirm that this is indeed the name of the filter. Does anyone remember seeing that post, or know of the filter i am referring to?
Thanks :)

This might help:

You will have to find out what mode to use however, and i cannot recomend to you what mode to use, unless i was workin on it myself.
Heres what i mean by the noise, you can see it clearly here:
Close up:
It almost looks like blocking when i look at it close up like this, maybe it is not noise, but a type of compression artifact inherent in LD video? I thought it was noise at first...
When i mentioned about the msu noise generator i figured you should probably stretch it so it matches (just the noise), but what if instead of using a filter you take a sample of black from one of your captures with that noise (whatever it is) and overlay it on the dvd footage with avisynth? Maybe add a bit of blur to the dvd footage first before the overlay might help blend it in even more.
I think MSU noise generator for virtualdub could possibly help to blend in the dvd footage with the laserdisc stuff (Its results look similar). The noise in the laserdisc footage looks to be distorted so that it stretches horizontally doesn't it? (I mean just the noise looks stretched, not the actual image). If that is the case the added noise would have to look similar also wouldn't it?
Sorry for late reply.
Thank's Darth, i belive boba feta did something similar for the puggo edition covers at some point.

EDIT: added links for the super 8 covers in the OP
More links added to the OP, still some left to do though.
The first time i saw any of Empire was on the tele, the tv station spliced in a commercial with a Mounty cop in a blizzard talking to someone on a pay phone, this was during the opening scenes on Hoth, so I thought Han (or maybe luke?) was talking to the Mounty, lol.

The main offender is "Cover's" in your thread title...

I looked in the rules and did no see anything saying wether or not DL links to covers are allowed. Anybody know?
Oh New Thread God, shall i starteth a new thread in the "dvd covers, disc labels, and other fan artwork" sub-forum, for my covers? Or shall i cast myself out of Valhalla forever while you heartilly laugh at me in your most humble pomp and vulgar splendor?
*all in unision* "Hail the new thread god!"
most humble pomp and vulgar splendor?
(No idea if that even means anything, it just sounded fun)
IMO Alien is the better film, Aliens is the better ride.
While i don't know you, Twister, i hope you keep on keeping on, i enjoy reading your posts.
Take 'er easy :)
