I think they just like have tiny connections like these, for people like me who enjoy that kind of stuff. It’s not important to the story and if someone didn’t notice it, they wouldn’t be missing anything really, but it’s fun for the people who do notice.

*That first helmet if from the previous episode.

It’s definitely a reference to that, but they look quite different, so unless they’ve retconned/updated the design I think they’re meant to be separate species. The new one definitely looks more Star Wars-y.

I just chalked it up to being improved creature effects, but they could be different species I suppose. Maybe he molted a few times? lol

Great name too, Doctor Mandible. lol

Am I the only person that gets a bit of a Al Williamson-vibe from the design of the “Frog-Lady”? The creature design reminds me of the Chubbits from the SW Newspaper comic.

I also think its a nice little detail that both the “Frog-Lady” and “Dr. Mandible” (as Peli called him) both appeared in the season 1 Tatooine episode, implying that there’s not much happening on Tatooine anymore. Moroff from Rogue One, or at least someone from the same species, also popped up in the new cantina scene.

There’s a mantis looking creature in the Original cantina scene. Is that supposed to be the same character or just the same species?

I think Frog Lady looks a lot like another creature from the Special Edition of the cantina scene. That could be her husband before he went to Trask and made a place for them.

The more I listen to The Mandalorian score, the more I am amazed by it. There’s just so many layers. Ludwig Göransson is a genius.

As for the movies, I love the Imperial March and the tune from the asteroid field but Leia’s theme is just amazing. Rey’s theme is pretty good too, but that French horn from Leia’s theme gives all the feels.

Apologies if this is in here already and I missed it. A short bit with Gina on how she was approached for the job.

She’s ended up being one of my favorite parts of the show. I love her humility.

She was great in an episode of Almost Human (I really loved that show) and I think Haywire is actually pretty good.

What next for Star Wars - Extended Editions?
Time

I doubt they release the current movies on disc again. They will probably release any new movies on disc, but I doubt there is another edition outside of a repackaging with new box art.

I don’t think Disney’s going to be doing Special or Extended Editioning of Star Wars at all.

They’re more of a “remake it entirely” kind of company.

So keep an eye out for that in about 10-15 years, probably.

I’ve always thought they would recreate all the Star Wars movies in animated form. That could potentially be very cool.
