STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Man, I can't find the Facebook links. The one I went to doesn't seem to have any pics from the concert, and I don't know the others. I did a search here because someone (005?) listed them all a while back, but no dice. If someone could do that again, I'd be sure to bookmark them this time! ;)

Thanks for the report. One thing I was wondering about is if/how much everything was amplified. If a place is not too big, they wouldn't have to amplify much, right? Always nice to feel the power without the aid of speakers.

Hey, how come you don't have the Facebook page in your signature?

Yes, to Roccon you listen. ;) We all know you've put a lot of work into it. Perhaps me more than anyone. It's just that there were some weird vibes early on that some seem unwilling to forget, and nowadays, it's almost always technical details that can hold something back from its true, 100% potential. (especially at FE.org) I can almost guarantee that, even if there was a huge disclaimer beforehand explaining the situation, tons of people would still say 'what's up with the AOTC footage?' Remember the kerfuffle with the workprint version, and how hard we tried to make people understand? Well, some people, if they didn't know beforehand, would be turned off after downloading 7.67 GB and seeing a technical issue, even if it couldn't be helped.

Just trying to be realistic, not hurtful. I like your work and am impressed that your first edit is such an ambitious one! I just think about the last few years of my fanedit fandom and having watched dozens and dozens of other ones and thinking how they relate together, y'know? :)

^The bonus disc has "Renascent" trailers, the "Reborn" epilogue and trailer, and some poster images.

Thanks for the explanations, A-Man. I didn't know (or remember?) it had come up before. Dunno if it could've been the solution, but if so, I'd've bought an American copy. I could've bought it for you, had I known! (I would imagine they're pretty cheap on eBay) I can't believe you didn't save anything, though! :o You could've saved everything on the external hard drive (including the programs you need), yes/no? Always a good policy, just in case.

Having seen what has and hasn't been accepted at FE, I...don't know for sure with this one. I have to agree with Frink that most people won't be able to look away, y'know? I'm the type that, once I find something, I keep looking for it until it's gone. (which is why I don't have HDTV, because all I saw were flaws everywhere)

I've seen this issue to an extent in other fanedits before, and they were released anyway, so I'd almost like to send a copy to someone there (boon, I guess) and see what they think.

Since you're unable to fix it yourself, I wonder if an American or UK editor could make it so the framerate is consistent throughout? Seems plausible to me. IF that were possible, would you be willing to do it? Just throwing out an idea. No biggie. :p

Well, I've finished watching, and...

Good news: The bonus features disc is just fine.

Bad news: Neither the DL or .AVI of the movie can be released right now for technical reasons. (see my very last sentence, though, as it may help explain what I'm about to get into now... :p)

Basically, almost the entirety of the AOTC footage 'stutters.' It's as if 1 or 2 out of every 24 frames (can't tell exactly just looking at it) is being skipped, which isn't too noticeable when there is little movement, but as soon as things start moving (people walking, ships flying, etc...), it sticks out like a sore thumb. Very jerky.

Examples of how often this appears and how much time is involved:

0:01:40 to 0:03:44
0:28:12 to 0:39:46
0:54:35 to 1:08:30
1:17:48 to 1:18:21
1:19:05 to 1:19:19
1:20:05 to 1:21:03
1:38:06 to 1:44:20
2:02:02 to 2:03:26
2:12:43 to 2:20:47
2:25:33 to 2:27:11
2:51:08 to 2:52:58

(times approximate, as some scenes, like the first half of the arena fight, seemed ok, but stuff was moving so chaotically it was hard to tell)

This problem doesn't appear in the TPM or ANH:R footage, which tells me it's not a burn problem. I checked this 'stuttering' issue on my PS2, PS3 and computer, and it showed up on both the DL and .AVI versions in all instances. I watched this on a CRT TV and CRT monitor, but I don't think it makes a difference, especially as there was no problem with the ANH:R footage. Since this edit relies so heavily on AOTC, it's gonna have to be re-encoded or...something. (I dunno the technical stuff) I don't think it's a progressive scan issue or whatever (again, I dunno the technical stuff), but maybe you should check this out for yourself, Asteroid-Man, and see if you can see what I saw.

Sorry about this bad news, and I hope it can be fixed easily enough. If I haven't explained something right, or if you know specifically what's going on, let us know!
