I'm all for an ultimate RotJ set, of course. It's great music! The sail barge battle music and the music while Vader's suit is burning give me goosebumps each time I listen. If this soundtrack can be cleaned up/fixed even more than before, that would be hugely appreciated. :)

Very cool indeed. The only fan disc I can think of with an isolated score is one EditDroid did, but I'm sure there are others. What an excellent [other] way it would be to enjoy A B C's work. Could [hypothetically] be done with all three movies, as he has remastered the entire originally trilogy...more than once.
By hook or by crook, if A B C (I added the spaces!) wants them, I'm sure someone can get them to him.

Had a great pitching day. The rotations must've changed slightly, because I had 4 starters tonight. Went 3-0 with 29 Ks. :) I'm hoping Aardsma gets a save opportunity. They're up 2-1 in the 8th.

I like reading how people perceive / or translate their perception of the sound.
Usually if it's rock music or something like that, I don't often picture people playing the music. But I love to watch orchestral concerts and such and pick out the sound from different musicians around the room. So when I'm listening to these soundtracks, it feels like they're playing at different spots in my head. Haha.
I would really, really love to go see Star Wars in Concert someday. Actually, I'd love to see any orchestra, really. Only saw a small one—around 15-20 musicians?—at my high school. I don't think all the metalheads cared, but it was an amazing experience for me. It's great to feel the power of the instruments, not even artificially amplified. Video Games Live would be excellent, too.

I appreciate that you also brought out the fact that Lucas is letting people mess with his movies. They even encouraged people to put stuff on YouTube before! That is pretty great and shouldn't be forgotten among all the nonsense. ;)

Been listening quite a bit this afternoon. So nice! Powerful when it needs to be and nice and warm when the mood is more mellow. And, of course, the clarity is there. The sound field is nice and wide and you hear instruments in many different spots. :)
Oh, I hear sort of a 'skip' or like there's a split second of audio missing at 1:51 in "Darth Vader's Trap". I thought maybe it was just my computrer loading or something, but I went back and checked a couple of times and it did it each time.
^That's one sync issue that has always bothered me, since I first noticed it as a wee lad. Is it fixable?

I'm kinda stuck at the computer, but I just thought about how I have a FLAC plug-in for Winamp, so I think I'll load it up right directly. (ideally, I will have a proper listening session on headphones*)

P.S. Glad you dug it, Monro. It gets updated often. (though it's getting harder for all of us to find good material. There are pretty girls in professionally made costumes doing photo shoots galore, but we all appreciate the people who have made their own costumes and wear them in public, whether they look good or bad. (I usually prefer the bad, cuz I like to laugh.)
Over in dark_jedi's GOUT thread, the discussion lately has included a part about the sound of water splashing/sloshing around while Luke is in the cave, and it was apparently to do with an unused concept of having Vader come up out of water. Obviously that isn't in the movie, but apparently the audio is! :p (I need to listen to that scene again!)
Any thoughts on this, Ady?
