Sure, but there are dedicated threads for ROTJ editing ideas, y'know. ;) One is the ESB and ROTJ Wishlist.

If it's not too hard to do (perhaps superimpose TIE lasers over the red AT-AT lasers), could be a fun bonus/alternate Hoth battle clip. I always thought it was a neat idea, if nothing more. (so did Lucasfilm at first, based on that German trailer)

I somehow missed putting Nolasco in for his win tonight. B'oh! I'm thinking he was a late addition or something, cuz I would've noticed if he was starting when I set my lineup around noon or so.

You can still see the general idea, though. Green laser blasts, fizzling/sparking AT-AT armor(/shields?). There's potential for sure. The lasers from the AT-AT when it shoots the generator sure are yellow-looking. It's an interesting take. Any chance it the video quality can be fixed?

Yeah, it's great when other audio sources are available like that, especially done by the original actor as the character. Doesn't always happen that way.

Yes, that is a good way to put it. After being lied to by Lucasfilm so many times over the years and hearing "stories" from people that don't even work for them, people get things mixed up sometimes. :p

People go crazy when Adywan isn't around much. :p

As for the list of things not changed, don't forget that it was also a bit of a "rush" job (rush for Adywan, anyway, as opposed to others who don't/can't get quite as much done in such a short period) to coincide with the 30th anniversary, so he wasn't going to go bonkers with the editing. Haha.

Well, this could be viewed as sort of an alternate version anyway. Don't worry about canon and whatever. I sure don't when it comes to the PT! :p

Anyway, thanks for those nice detailed posts. Take your time with it. I don't think [that one guy that pesters Adywan] follows this thread, so you shouldn't have to worry about people bugging you about when it's going to be done. ;)

P.S. I'm surprised some people didn't notice the Magfan Jar Jar backwards thing. That's one thing that bugged me about his edit, because I knew immediately it was just backwards audio. (which to me, though better than regular Jar Jar [but not better than him gone from the movie], was a pretty lazy way of changing his voice)

When I heard Luke say it the first time, I thought 'interesting.' Nothing more. When you have people saying Lee-ah, Lay-ah, Hawn, HEHn (whatever), etc...it doesn't really matter.

I think you're gonna have to make your own edit for those changes to happen. ;)

They all are, really (the snowtroopers one is best, but the door mechanism still reeks of CG in its ultra smooth motion, and the AT-AT clip looks like a video game), but seeing it's copyrighted 2003 makes me wonder what it would look like with 7 more years of technique/experience/etc...

Well, I only say that because I don't think Ady is keeping all of the new enhancements.  If I remember the ESB preview trailer correctly, I think some of the original backgrounds have been replaced.

Except for that first shot there, every window in Cloud City is being SE-enhanced. Visual continuity will rule the day.

 

You beat me to the continuity comment. Ady is obviously not against all the SE additions, but let's have some consistency, LFL! ;)

I was sad about the AT-ST. =( Although it did seem that lone AT-ST was out of place there... but the way the battle does play out is better thus far.

I got into the trilogy relatively late in life (8 or 9 years old, haha), so I don't know if I saw ESB or ROTJ first. Can't remember if I was surprised to see an AT-ST in ESB, or thought 'there are chicken walkers in this too' when I saw ROTJ. :p

Either way, I too will be a bit sad to see it gone from ESB, but really, it didn't really do anything. Save the action for ROTJ, as if it's some cool new toy for the Imperials to use.
