Yeah, that's when a Wacom would come in handy, I suspect.

By R2's socks, are you asking if he should be lowered closer to the floor? I would imagine such a thing wouldn't be too hard to accomplish.

Hey Ady, have you ever found inspiration from things like Robot Chicken or Family Guy? Sometimes they point out some of the real foibles that others may not have noticed.

"Fun is my Chinese neighbor's middle name!" - Harland Williams

The thing that really gets me, and we see it over and over, is how Lucas says things are cost prohibitive. He can't afford $10M to fix something that would make him $20M later on? A mere pittance! Do we need to teach him how business and profits work? :p

I made a comment in the 'Star Wars coming to Blu-Ray' thread that ties in with these clean-ups, dark_jedi. I'll put that comment below. What do you think? :)

"It would be nice if the new deleted stuff could be incorporated as extended OOT versions of the movies, separate from the theatrical versions, maybe using dark_jedi's GOUT clean-ups or something like that. I know it would really depend on the condition of the clips."

Dunno if it's feasible or how much new footage will be available to know if it's even worth bothering, but I thought it could be neat.

^I'm glad you took it the way I was intending or it to be taken, meaning, um...not as an insult or anything. Heh. ;) And I totally understand your stance, which is shared by so many here. I mean, that's why this forum exists!

Look at the efforts taken to restore the original cut of Metropolis. Star Wars, ESB, and ROTJ will get this level of respect and care one day. I just hope I'm around to see it.

That sounds about right to me...after George is dead. This actually has a parallel to the 2001 anime movie "Metropolis", as Tezuka said that he didn't want any animated/filmed version of his Metropolis books made. Ever. But they did it after he died anyway. That's probably what will happen with the OT, proper restoration-wise.

Seeing C-3PO set a trap for the Snowtroopers is a pretty cool idea, but I can understand why they cut it out as it does slow down the pacing of the scenes.

And yet years later, they added in that scene of Vader leaving Cloud City and arriving on the Star Destroyer, slowing down the pacing of the scenes. Oh Lucasfilm, you're so wacky sometimes. :p

Listening to some of the crowd's responses in that clip I just had to shake my head - they'll clap at anything! Scarey.

Oh, come on... It was a filmed sequence that no one had seen since it was filmed in 1982, probably. Would you just sit there with your arms folded and sulk? That may have been one of the only non-SE things to happen at that event!
