THE OT SOUNDTRACKS SALVAGE - SWESBROTJ -"remastered"(so far)+ LP's (Released)
Time

"your ears will probably thank me not to be blown away by the trumpets, far too high on all the versions I heard before, excepted on the RSO recording"

That's true. I have some sort of sensitivity with my ears, especially the left one, where it sort of buzzes when there are certain sounds, and really loud trumpets can do it. Though I can't think of any specific examples of this happening with the soundtracks, it certainly sounds plausible to me.

"However, the real surprise is that my remastered version brought sounds that are nearly absent on the RSO, as for archers stroke on cellos on some cues for exemple, and even gratings from the musicians chairs during many silences."

That is really cool. Though it is nice to hear pristine recordings for most types of music, for classical and such, it really makes me feel like there are a ton of people in the room and it is pretty much impossible to keep 100% silent. Can be fun to hear little noises. :)

This thread reminds me that I got the original 2 LP Star Wars set at Salvation Army a few months ago in perfect shape...for 25 cents! (2001: A Space Odyssey, too) And I keep forgetting I actually have a record player here, though I don't know if it actually works. My mother sort of uses it as a coffee table. :p

Anyway, I'm going to PM you for some links, ABC. Thanks!

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Regarding the Tauntaun sleeping bag, that page now has some news on it:

"ATTN Tauntaun Fanatics! Due to an overwhelming tsunami of requests from YOU THE PEOPLE, we have decided to TRY and bring this to life. We have no clue if the suits at Lucasfilms will grant little ThinkGeek a license, nor do we know how much it would ultimately retail for. But if you are interested in ever owning one of these, click the link below and we'll try!"

The 'link below' they mention is to have them e-mail you if it ever becomes available. :)

There might be some little bits of the VHS board game that we can slip in under Vader's mask (I'll have to watch that again too).

There are some very good Vader lines on that one! :)

Oh, and though I haven't seen the first Ewok movie in years, I did watch the second with my brother a while back. We still got a kick out of that little white fella that runs fast. Heh.

Just as a side note did I hear a rumour of a preservation DVD of the game tape?

It's not just a rumour; it actually happened! Haha. Daveytod transferred it a while back. I'll PM a link to you.

has anyone ever seen the STAR WARS:Droids series? is it worth watching?

Got the whole series, including the TV movie "The Great Heep", over at myspleen. Fits on one DVD. :) I loved it as a kid when it originally aired, and as an adult, well...I don't love it, but it's still fun. I still like some of the designs they used in it. I think the White Witch is a pretty cool speeder, for instance.

Notice how they even put the double nostrils on it!

I like the last line of the description at the product page: "If your kids don't change their tune on which Star Wars film is the greatest ever, you can do your best Jar Jar impression until they repent."

Now there's something Lucas failed miserably with by all accounts; Jar Jar speak never became the hot new slang for kids, like he figured/hoped. The only time I've ever heard anyone talk like Jar Jar was to mock him. :)

That's good to hear. :)

Sorry you had to wade through all those crazy posts before. At least people weren't calling you a pikey, nor your dad a wino. ;)
