It will be easier going through emails because my PM inbox here just keeps filling up.

I'm thinking I should also start taking it to e-mail after the initial PM, because I have the same problem as you. :p And remember when it used to be something like 50 total! Ha!

I HATE CONTINUITY ERRORS!

I'd love to find an old post of yours that says 'I love continuity errors!' but I probably wouldn't find it, right?

If I said it, you would have to take it out of context to do it. :-P

But I think that most movie reviews on posters and trailers do that, so I couldn't be too hard on you.

That's true. I noticed in a commercial for some new CG movie that one reviewer said it's the 'best movie ever.' Oh really. What is he, five? Maybe he said 'This is the best movie ever...in Bizarro World.' ;)

Barring anyone finding some nice HD documentary footage that fits the bill, I would imagine your work presents the best option for tweaking that ESB shot.

I think you're definitely right on this. The only thing that has been suggested and not reported back on yet is the Planet Earth documentary. (I've asked a guy I know who has it if there's anything like what we need) Haven't seen it, but I have a feeling that if there are any shots like what is needed, it'll be the type that's shot on a really sunny day with tons of glare coming off the ice, which is beautiful, but no good in this case. ;)

^^I watched *buffering* it...and wat*buffering*ched *buffering* it...and *buffering*watched it........ Yeah, it took around three times longer than it actually was to get through the whole thing. Oh well. Worth it, even though I'll never play it.

Interesting post about Paypal, brash_stryker. Sometimes it works out great. A friend of mine bought a guitar and when he received it, it was not in great shape. Lots of flaws and damage that was not shown in pictures and the description mentioned nothing about. In the end, my friend not only got all his money back, but got to keep the guitar because the seller wasn't responding or something. Ha!

But don't worry I looked it up! Man, your British people have some weird terms. I still don't understand what that means, even after reading a whole page on it. :S

Where are you Asteroid-Man?  "Grasping at straws" is widely used in Canada and the USA as well.

Asteroid-Man said: WHAT!? Are you sure we use that in Canada?

I've been Canadian for 31 years and didn't have to look it up. ;) Don't worry about it. Haha. "Grasping at straws" (or "clutching at straws") is quite common, but it's just something that doesn't come up much in normal conversation.

Anikan said if they have sensors on them so if they try to escape they BLOW YOU UP!!!!

That reminded me of one of my favorite skits from Cartoon Planet (TBS's Space Ghost show):

Space Ghost: Hey Zorak, what do you want to do?
Zorak: I dunno, what do you want to do?
Space Ghost: I dunno, what do you want to do?
Zorak: Let's go outside and play.
Space Ghost: Good idea! Let's go outside and play!
Brak: You can't go outside and play!
Space Ghost: Oh? And why not?
Brak: Because space is a vacuum! A vacuum!
Space Ghost: So?
Brak: If you go outside and play, you'll BLOW UP! Do you want to BLOW UP?!
Space Ghost: *hmm....*
Zorak: *hmm...*

An update which is in fact not an update at all, but a sad story.

I somehow accidently overwrote my project file and everything I did so far was lost.

Ouch! Sorry to hear it! Hope you haven't lost any hair, or had too much turn white over that. :p

I must say that when I've had similar setbacks, I always do WAY better the next time. I find I work much faster because I have a better way of doing it and I also remember to add many things I forgot the first time. (I'm thinking specifically of a huge dream journal I wrote, lost, then started again from scratch...) Hopefully your re-do will turn out that way too.

I'm also working on a cutom ROTS DVD complete with "Backstroke" subs from marioxb and the official RiffTrax commentary. I definitely need to do a Holiday Special DVD next.

That Backstroke/Rifftrax ROTS sounds great! I don't know why someone didn't do a proper Backstroke years ago. I mean, they could've just taken the regular DVD and manually added the subtitles as they appear in Backstroke. If someonme already did, I certainly don't know about it. Always up for more Holiday Special goofiness, too. ;)

Great to see some fresh activity in this thread again!

Cut him out completely.  He serves no purpose in ROTJ.

Absolutely! That was fanservice, pure and simple. If he had not become popular after ESB, he may not have been in it at all! People would have just thought 'how did Han end up at Jabba's palace? Oh yeah, that bounty hunter brought him in for the reward.'

As for the lightning/Palpy/Vader scene, I just made a comment about it at YouTube and I'd like to hear some thoughts from others. Another user suggested said "what if cutting the "you will be destroid" line? you know, "so be it, jedi" and then he attacks."I replied "I must say I really like that suggestion of cutting the "you will be destroyed" line! I mean, it's cool that he would just start going nuts with the lightning, rather than announcing his intentions beforehand. ;)"

Yes/no?
