60 Minutes - The Last Star Wars - 2005

This is the segment that "60 Minutes" dedicated to George Lucas and his Empire

I also captured the full show to DVD - I figured you zany fans would just want
the segment; that and why waste a DVD for a 13min clip?

On March 13, 2005 "60 Minutes" presented a special segment that featured an
in-depth interview with George Lucas. The show previously profiled Lucas in 1999
during the release of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace to document the
beginning of the prequels. Now that Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith
heads into the final stages of post-production, "60 Minutes" correspondent
Lesley Stahl returns to Skywalker Ranch to chat with Lucas about his family, his
technological innovations and his plans after Episode III.

"We want to give something of interest to everyone from the most die-hard Star
Wars fans who will be looking for that one frame that shows a little droid that
they hadn't seen before, to somebody who hasn't seen the films but knows that
George is an important figure in not just filmmaking but in another context as
well,"

- Segment Producer Rome Hartman

It very well maybe BUT this particular title crawl is around 2 years old...

Russs15 downloaded this via P2P back on 2003 (Kazaa/iMesh/WinMX or a newsgroup) and I have had it on my HD now for about 4-8 months or so now - I tried to FTP it with my server here at home back in January or December but my server died....

For you BH - Consider it DONE - No ads though right?

I also have this....

60 Minutes featuring George Lucas - 1999[/]

As Episode I: The Phantom Menace neared completion and raced toward its May 19th release date, 60 Minutes took a look at what occupied Mr. Lucas' mind during the final stages of post-production on his latest journey to the heart of the Star Wars universe.

This was from another member that sent me a bunch of OLD VHS stuff transfered to DVD - (THANKS T.P. )

"(some or all?) hardware for v2 provided by : TR47" <- put that i guess medium size

and for even more confusion put:
"DVD Cover Art by : Spanky Pete"

^^^ NO JUST KIDDING ON THAT ONE

How bout giving full credit to Cowclops as he has done all the work on the transfers - I mean TR47 only distributes them right?

I do really Dig on the "TR47" name for the first original Cowclops transfer and the "ROW47" name for the RowMan Remix (the set that corrected the 4sec disc change black spot and added menus AS WELL as created the 4 disc "Extras" set that TR47 has also distributed)

I had originally attached TR47's name to Cowclops original transfer as he was at the time the ONLY source for these before I got them but now that we know the ORIGINAL source I feel that we should either credit Cowclops directly in this NEW transfer as in "The COWCLOPS Transfers" BUT since TR$7 has had enough sales of the original set and used some of it toward getting Cowclops that CLD-97 for the transfer. (CC Is it now YOUR CLD-97 or was it only a loaner?) MAYBE the best way WOULD be to give the set a name that PROPERLY credits Cowclops and gives a kind nod towards TR47.... Something like "The CC-47 Set" or better yet we should assign a FULLY NEW name to the set like "The TK-421 Collection" if Cowclops wanted to remain in the shadows.

Either way the name should NOT be based soley on who had sold a ton of sets (I mean we don't call the MagnoliaFan Edit's the Blaksvn Edit's as I was approved to distribute them right?)

I don't think its really possible to treat the LD material better than I have (with the version that is "sort of done" for now but I still need to make menus). All of this excitement over miraculously picture quality improving filters really mean they miracuously improve one aspect of the video at a complete loss of some other aspect. I say, the more you try to filter it, the worse its gonig to look compared to the laserdisc. All I did was tweak the LD's weird color balance, did some very very weak noise reduction to make it more compressible, and compressed it to mpeg2. Done and done.

I would also like to thank you for all your efforts in the preservation of the ORIGINAL TRILOGY and for posting on the forums - I will soon update all my information on the original set you created - I'm working on a motor/tranny/induction swap on my car[s] so it maybe a few weeks but rest assured I will update all and any information to credit you as the original creator of the "TR47" set.

Again THANKS and much respect!

RiK

P.S. - I've added you to my "Creators" list on my latest NFO!

If the LD rip looks worse than the VHS, then it wasn't a very good LD rip.

Correct. I think it was done by those clowns at LOOK. Rikter should be able to clarify that, or not.

Yep - I think that the Transfer I have IS from LOOK or some other Asian Bootleg factory - It was ripped from the Laserdisc but VERY badly...

I have the Japanese Laserdisc - Did someone wanna rip it again?

Fan Film collection ~ TREMORS IN THE FORCE
Time
Hey gang!

I've been busy with both my Datsuns and I will be spending the next few weeks or longer working on my car and a friends getting them ready for Spring and Summer!

SO................

Who wants to help me convert video for my Tremors in the Force Collection?

I have 5.40gigs of Fan Films (including the ones on Tremors 1 and Tremors 2) + about 10 SVCD's of other films that I can no longer download that I would LOVE to have converted to DVD for the NEXT incarnation of the TREMORS IN THE FORCE collection.

I will mail them to WHOEVER is truly interested in taking on this project (converting can take FOREVER with 2nd Pass VBR, filtering and such) I'd like to do the authoring to match all my latest white menus BUT if someone is feeling creative I'd be MORE than happy to see the menus that some of you out there can create. SO if there are ANY takers please email me here at Rikter_Blaksvn@yahoo.com and I will get them off to you ASAP!

Word to the Spookies.......
