NON-Star Wars Fan Edit and Alternate DVD Covers SHOWCASE
Time
I notice a few errors on my last covers and I also wanted to fix a few things so I started a whole new set. The fronts and spines are done and I'll start the backs sometime soon but I need to get away from Photoshop and answer some emails

Oh - I also altered the RIC's cover to match this set and I may also redo all my Superman DVD's with all new menus and extra features. (If I do they will have a all new torrent release

Help with VHS->DVD
Time
First, Welcome to the forum!

Second - You can turn your PC into a CAPTURE DEVICE. BUT your PC/MAC will need to be up to the task so you may need the following - a free AGP or PCI slot (unless you use a USB 2.0 device), memory (at least 500mb- 1gig), 200+gigs of HD space for the AVI capture.

Third - You can buy a Set-top DVD Recorder for about $100 you can get a basic unit or for between $300-700 you can get a Recorder with a built in Hard Drive and you can also control the bitrate settings (to fit just about 2.5 hours on one DVD) - if you go the hardware route consider grabbing a Time-Base Corrector and a Video Processor (with color control is a PLUS!)

Or you can trade, PIF or make a donate to a trader here on the forums to get one of the LD or VHS transfers that have already been done

I've included all the elements that I've used in this RAR (via yousendit)

Hey GANG Thanks for reading in!!!!

Okay now a few ideas…

For the Angrysvn Productions

Both 4:3 and 16:9

I'd really like to see a basic redo of my existing intro (with proper swipes/fade outs) but more thrilling if possible (also maybe with different music) also a redo with fade in and out of the Copyright Warning.

I also think a Lucasfilm Type intro with Angrysvn Productions for the SW releases

I also like None’s idea of using footage for the SW stuff, I will reauthor a few select projects which will include the all new intros (I have a few unlikely team-ups coming soon)

For the Blaksvn Films LLC.

Both 4:3 and 16:9

Now this one really means the most to me as I’ve finally decided to get my LLC. and start Pre-Production (with a producer & crew this time!!) on a personal project and possibly a Mockumentary.

Most future projects will be either SciFi or Documentary related if that helps. I would like to see either an animated sun going nova that morphs into the proper Blaksvn Logo (like in my sig) or a simple fade in behind BLAKSVN FILMS LLC. (sample included in rar) – PLEASE TRY other fonts, colors and combinations or ideas as well I’m REALLY open for ideas here!

ALSO maybe an outro with Corbi’s "word to the spookies…" so this can be inserted at the end of each film…

For both projects PLEASE feel free to use your own creative ideas. I’m starting to think that I should make this a contest of some sort… Maybe a collection of DVD’s with art and cases or something along those lines…hmmmm

Again I really appreciate this!

Word…

Info Wanted: How do you report projects illegally sold on eBay?
Time
I posted this back in 2004 but it still applies...

No these boards are not here to stop eBay sellers from selling bootlegs - BUT it does help, The fact is it's NO big deal that they sell them - YES it sucks as they sell my Holiday Special with my artwork (for upto $100!!) but hey it happens. When this first happened I was angry but it's cool as I did post them on the internet for the whole world to get for FREE!

BUT YES - It's true that they could come HERE and get them either for FREE or way CHEAPER then they could on eBay - BUT some people NEVER research that kind of stuff SO those people NEED eBay - I mean have you seen the feedback these alleged "jackers" are getting form the buyers of these overpriced sets? They (the bidders) LOVE what they are getting and the feedback they leave the "jacker" shows this - IF they did not like the DVD's they would negative feedback.

So WHY screw it up for the fans that cannot or will not spend the MANY MANY hours needed to track down a set of "fan-created" DVD's?

Some of these bidders do not have HOME PC's, Printers, DVD burners, broadband or the know-how to Burn, Print and create their own DVD sets. These bidders are getting COMPLETE sets for the most part - That's a TURN-KEY set that they can add to there DVD collections.

I do not agree with those that sell strictly for profit (you know who you are guys) BUT the DO have there place.

That and eBay has it's own Police to shut this stuff down, MOSTLY it's just other sellers that shut down folks like my brother (WHOM sold the sets for $25 SHIPPED Priority Mail with keepcase and disc art!!) - AS WE cut into their PROFITS. It would seem that even I was reported on SELL.COM by another member who sold Star Wars DVD's on that site AS I was cutting in on their profits. - You see the true pirates SHUT us down when we try to sell cheap, this is one reason the prices stay high - If a seller comes on the scene and starts to get people set-up CHEAP those profiteers jsut report us. (by the way... I've joined the other sites they sell on!! - see ya soon! )

I just see no point in hunting down these eBay sellers, since if you do start that crusade you'll really need to hunt them down on EPIER.COM, SELL.COM and of course YAHOO auctions. THEN you'll need to hunt down the sellers that offer them on FORUMS and NEWSGROUPS....

Soon you'll come after fans like myself and a few others that upload them for free.

THE best thing for us to do at this point is EVERYONE should start to sell on ALL THE ONLINE AUCTION houses - IF we do this WE can FORCE down the price off the bootlegs on eBay and the other sites.

THAT and if they get shut down... HOW the heck will WE (as in the FANS collectively) get the latest bootlegs that WE here on the OT forums do not create?

Just out of curiosity, is this something you do with every cover despite the fact that you are printing on photo quality paper......or are you just showing off?

Yes, I do this with every cover I print, both Vivid & Photopaper use more ink so I only use these when I'm printing Photos or T-Shirt Transfers

Like I said I 86'd the CIS as I really like the pure ease of carts

Hey gang,

I really have no CGI or animation skills but I would really like to have a new intro video for my DVD's and I was hoping that maybe another member here would be kind enough to offer up an all new intro video (maybe an outro also?) for Angrysvn Productions and maybe one for a upcoming film project by Blaksvn Films LLC.

I’ve uploaded my current version (lacking) but it gets the point across, I’m sure more then a few of you have seen this already but here’s the LINK. I’m not looking for anything super dramatic or mega long (15-30 seconds would be best) so if you like to give this a try please let me know via email.

I don’t really have any money to offer for this but I would be happy donate more then a few copies of my DVD releases (with full covers and art) as a form of payment. And the creator[s] would of course be credited in all NFO’s for unauthorized internet releases and professionally in all future end credits sequences of feature productions

Thanks in advance my friends!!

Try the HDLoader or HDAdvance mods (older but works great) if you are looking for a "no solder" mod for the PS2 but I would suggest that you go for for a nice chip with the firmware you're after and then you'll also be able to stream A/V across your intranet.

So check out this SITE (you'll need to join) but my brother found that it was a great site for hacking his PS2 and X-Box and they are ALWAYS posting new firmwarez and instructions as well as links to chips

Now GO and MOD IT!

thanks again for the VERY helpful info
DJ

DON'T replace it!

I tried to do that on my brothers R300 and broke it (thank goodness he only had it for a few weeks - he took it back and swapped it for a new one ) - But yes, it can be pulled out and run under water to clean it off; but it honestly was such a hassle that I'd rather spend another $75 for another reconditioned R200 from ebay!

As for the "tut" (tub correct?) I do have an extra one...
