Search your feelings, Lord Vader. You will know it to be true. He could destroy us.
He's just a boy...

I discovered a funny thing, maybe many of you know already but:
the dubbed voice of JarJar in "Balance of the Force" is a mix of Spanish, English and something else "Spanglish" . I'm Mexican so it was a quite funny experience to read the subbs and actually understand some of the things the dude is saying.

Again Thans very much RiK.

I loved that too - Now Jimmy's not the only latino in the Star Wars Galaxy!

Rikter,

I am forever in your debt.

At first I looked at the TR47 of Star Wars on my PC and thought sound ain't much different from Anamorphic, and the picture sucks, more dust and scratches, more video fragments, also slight an-aliasing issues.

Then I burnt it and watch it on my big flat screen TV with Dolby Pro logic outputing it in 5.1 and I have to say WHOAAAA! FANTASTIC!

Seems on TV and home theatre equipment it rules. Colors are better, and way, way sharper image than Anamorphic. Plus I think the fact it isn't anamorphic is why the images are so much sharper, as the fact both sets had no choice but to be captured via analogue, the whole 16:9 process of the Anamorphic set makes the affects of the analogue rip stand out more, and consequently look blurry in comparison to TR47s.

So with the news that Empire will be up this weekend is awesome!!!!!!

One small little thing, if the ROTJ could be up the following weekend it would be sweet. I'm not being greedy or anything or impatient but I have till the end of the month before the ISP I work for shuts down our office, and I have had to get all the torrents here, as my damn cable provider only gives me 2.5 GB a month downloads. Don't ask it's a long story, and ADSL availabilty in Australia STILL sucks, leaving some of us to be stuck with awful Cable plans, network is good though.

When I do get the torrents here, I'm continually seeding at 500 KB/sec

One last thing, was the TR47 set captures from the 95 "Faces" LaserDisc set, I can't remember. lol

Thanks for the super kind words and I will do my best to get them up for you as fast as possible!

Yep, it's the infamous "Turkish Star Wars", with the bearded, spring-jumping, karate-fighting Vader and all. Well, it's out on an OFFICIAL DVD, in a RESTORED AND DIGITALLY REMASTERED version!!! Hahah! And to think Lucas still won't give us a remastered Holiday Special, Howard the Duck, or the Lost Cut. :-D

NOOOOO!
It's NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Yea I have those but the back do not really match what the sets offer so I re-did the whole back - I have bioth the TR47 set and the Anamorphic - I did'nt like all that authentic looking stuff (FBI and Lucasfilm) as they're NOT offical discs and WHY created Lucasfilm for something THEY did not do??

Special Edition on DVD (1997 versions)

No, that set is referred to as the "D5 DTS" version, which has the same front cover art as the "LOOK" OT version, but with a DTS band/logo at the top. The back covers are also different looking. It is not the same set but is actually a good transfer, although the DTS is absolute crap (like any Malaysian bootleg, they insist upon putting a fake DTS track on it). I have seen every single OT and SE bootleg from east Asia-so if you need more info on a particular "release", let me know.

Hey thanks MAN!!

It is otherwise the same as the 5 star set (including menus, etc) except lacks the fake DTS track, and keeps the 5.1 and 2.0 tracks from the LD set. The best thing about is it can be copied 1:1 onto DVDR without any quality loss. I was reluctant to make copies of it for people, partially because I don't like the SE version much, and the fact SE bootlegs are kind of a taboo topic around here, but if anyone is REALLY desperate for copies, email or PM me. This is what the originals look like:

This is seemingly the same set that I have....

BUT mine have these menus which are different fron the 5-Star sets menus WEIRD but they are the SAME coverart and disc art!

The DTS track has audio delays but the Dolby track is fine

Ritker, do you think it would be possible to post higher res images of the original laserdisc set and the "inspired by" ink-savers? Perhaps that .rar file from page 8 that is now dead?

I'd love too but I have NO space for anymore uploads - I'll be put up some other VERY soon ;p
