The same magazine also calls Luke's lightsabre blade white.

I believe the magazine is called Science Fantasy. I figured Vader's rank might have just been made up, but I wondered if there were any other instances of this, or if there was another source for the rank.
Looking at a magazine downloaded from starwarsarchives.com, I came across a picture of Darth Vader calling him "Major Darth Vader" in the caption. Does anyone know where his military rank comes from (not the real life rank, for those of you who think I'm slow)? That's the first time I've seen him with a rank like that and I'm curious to know where else that occurs and why they made him a major.
Since I'm going to a regular school this year (I'm glad I've been to one before, since this one has multiple buildings and three stories), beginning tomorrow, I'll only be able to move during my lunch break and in the evening. Since I'll be going to bed no later than 10:30 on weekdays (8:30 for you), I doubt I'll get many moves in.
I don't know if that will make a difference in terms of how fast our games go, but we'll see. I thought I'd let you know, just so you wouldn't expect me to move if you had a chance to move a few times yourself.
I went to Old Quebec for the first time today and enjoyed narrow streets designed for travelling on foot or by horse and cart, and stone buildings and fortifications dating back centuries. That's about the closest it gets to Europe in North America. While there, I went to Mass at the oldest Catholic church (well, it belongs to the oldest parish, anyway) in North America (north of Mexico). This year is its 350th anniversary. That seems like nothing compared to a lot of those churches in Europe, but it's a lot older than any I've been to before.
Tomorrow I'll be starting school in a language I barely speak. Should be fun.
I just use an electric shaver. :P
I don't think I could ever shave with my skin. What do you do, peel and rub it really hard on your neck? How much skin does it usually take?
But do you shave more than once or twice a week?

I no longer dislike the animation style, but the slingshot thing made me cringe. I thought the scene was a tad childish, but it could have been worse.
BTW, are these shorts going to be incorporated into episodes, or are they being made separately to promote the show?
Oops, sorry. I can't believe I didn't see that. Yeah, I'll let you promote.
My move is instead R-4i
I suppose I meant I was dreading the following moves, plural, since I was (and still am) anticipating you doing something with that rook of yours.
Well, I don't see anything in particular, but you could easily cause me a lot of trouble right away by moving your rook down the board. Especially since you have a bishop that will soon be threatening my rook and another bishop in hand. I think I can still put up a pretty good fight though.
Assuming you meant +Lx7g, G*5h
Well, I've had no such luck, but maybe things will turn around. :-)

I'm dreading your next move, if you do what I think you'll do. It seems I always make the same mistakes and end up with a rampaging rook in the wrong places. :P
Perhaps Obi-Wan's ghost could be really wordy? He could explain what the force is every time he tells Luke to use it, which should be far more frequently than he does now.
But when he appears on Hoth, he simply says "Run, Luke, run!" and disappears.
Speaking of goals, my goal to learn French is coming along nicely. There is a noticeable difference between what I can understand/read now and could understand/read when I came to Quebec, and it's only been two weeks. :) And not only that, but I've been in my basement all day reading mostly English things. Hopefully this continues, because I really want to be entirely fluent by the end of the year.
Haha, I bet. :) I doubt that'll change much in the next few months though...
But shogi comes first! ;)
No kidding.
Congratulations, ender!
I'm sure you're glad all that trouble you had is behind you (or so I hope). Now it's just sleepless nights to look forward to. ;)
That is absolutely disgusting. How is it possible for people to treat their own son that way and be so incredibly ignorant as to think that being gay is a choice? I guess that family missed the part in the Bible where Jesus didn't hang out with people he thought were perfect?
It's just you. You didn't accidentally zoom out, did you?
Good luck, then!
I hope all goes well.
Oops.
