Why does Aladdin and the King of Thieves have such a low rating on IMDB? I thought it was a decent sequel.
Why does Aladdin and the King of Thieves have such a low rating on IMDB? I thought it was a decent sequel.
Nonsensical casting. Khan in "Into Darkness" is an example.
Someone on fanedit.org compiled a movie from "The Force Unleashed" using a Wii source.
I'd personally be more interested in seeing its sequel.
Have you ever checked out the ROTS novelization, deepanddark?
Roan Fel's daughter is visually how I imagine Princess Leia in the radio dramas.
^ Does R2-D2 come equipped with a gaming console?
There, we're back on topic.
^ That would be sufficiently impressive, yes.
Maybe it has a Muffin Button now.
I will be astounded if anyone here knows that reference without Google.
What I want to know is what new modifications Han made to it in these thirty years.

How about fallen (risen?) Sith?
You mean a Sith seduced by the light side?
Dark Lord Rises?
Give in to your love, and your journey towards the Light Side will be complete.
Take your Jedi arms and give me a big hug, I am unarmed.
I haven't broken this down into an exact science, but I'd guess that Triumphant Ending falls under the broad category of Happy Ending. Yeah, ANH is definitely uplifting at the end.
Well. Most Mary Sue's are self-insert ego trips.
Same. There is an exception here and there. The triumphant ending in A New Hope worked because the lead-up was so excellent and earned. You always felt like the rebels were on the brink of destruction until that final explosion.
ROTJ's ending has the heroes dancing around a fire with Mary Sue Ewoks, topped off by a smiling family portrait. And ghostly guests who demean the nature of death in the universe. Zero price was paid, everything's golden. Does it even matter that Anakin died? Luke can invite his ghost over and talk whenever.
At least Obi-Wan in ANH had the dignity to be a still small voice.
A common misconception these days is that resolution equals a happy ending and/or a protagonist's success. This is especially prevalent in Star Wars forums.

Obi-Wan supposedly screaming like a dragon makes NO sense.. Surely the Tuskens know what the beast is supposed to look like and surely they can tell the difference between a large dragon and an old man in a hooded robe waving his arms around. I mean, they all turn and SEE HIM COMING! They run because they know who he is and what he is capable of. That's why "they'll soon be back and in greater numbers."
Their fear of Obi-Wan is more interesting from a storytelling perspective, as well. He's lived in the wastelands for twenty years at that point. They probably had a few encounters where Obi-Wan owned house.
Yeah. The original film has a strange relationship with its supplemental material. Heck, a viewer would never know what a T-16 looked like unless they paid damn close attention and put two and two together.
You've been a real crab-apple lately.
EDIT: I would've understood the humor if you'd linked to page 44 in that thread, but I thought you were referring only to coltonlolz's post and your response.
Qui-Gon was something of a rogue. He never became a Sith.
EDIT: He is present in the EU.
"Here's where the fun begins." - Han Solo
What's supposed to be funny, exactly?
I'm not calling that a reasonable stance. We have Wookieepedia now. But I can see the human mind going in that direction.
The above could be one reason, Anchorhead. Resources. Time, money, and energy. Six films are easier to handle than a giant library of facts, and makes for smoother conversation without having to refer to Obscure Series #54, Page 259.
Highly debatable if a single movie can have the cultural impact today that was possible back then.
Look at the record-breaking phenomenon The Dark Knight. The most it really did was give people new ideas for Halloween make-up.
Oh, no no. That was to Mr. Frink.
I'm so sorry, officer.
