It wouldn't even be worth the effort if artists could render that convincingly. The ideas add nothing special to the story. We already know Leia was humiliated, far as that's possible.

She's a tough character. She had the capacity to smile and joke shortly after her planet was destroyed in front of her eyes, but is still somehow believable as a real person.

And exotic dancing is supposed to bother her to her core? Come on.

If you really want to bother Leia, you have to threaten Luke or Han. Which was done in the film.

As everyone is boarding the Sail Barge, Jabba and a group of other onlookers (including other slaves/dancers) are all cheering and hooting.  Leia is standing before Jabba again, looking around sheepishly.  The Max Reebo band starts up a slow, slinky song, and Jabba shouts, subtitled: "Do it again!" Leia will reluctantly start to twist and wiggle her body, her face showing deeply embarrassment.

I used to watch this on the "One Saturday Morning" segment on ABC. And Recess. There was another series called Lloyd in Space. Don't remember many others.

Think the announcers were a girl and an elephant called Jelly Roll.

A while before that we had Mighty Ducks and Doug. Doug belonged to Nick first, then Disney. Ninja Turtles were winding down in popularity at the time.

They come across like sugar-coated candy sticks in the Geonosis arena.

I never could put my finger on what was wrong with the lightsabers in that scene. The coloring? The casual way they're handled by a crowd of Jedi? It went beyond their over-use, as RedLetterMedia mentioned. Something else is wrong that only my subconscious can detect.

Odd. I watched 41:15 - 41:21 (or so) several times and paid close attention to 41:20.

Nothing whatsoever is wrong on my file. It's smooth.

It's not a complaint, it's just a suggestion. I don't like the thought that Skywalker = Jedi and I especially dislike the thought that force user = lightsaber. A lightsaber is a weapon. Not all force users need weapons. ROTJ implied that Leia will learn the ways of the force, so I'll give you that. But she doesn't need to become a full on lightsaber toting Jedi master. It would make more sense if she remained in politics.

I actually pretty much agree with all your points. I just like the idea of Leia having a red lightsaber because, since Luke & Leia already contrast against one another visually (Luke with his fair hair and black clothes, Leia with her dark hair and white clothes), it'd be cool to make them perfect mirror images of one another with complementary lightsaber colours.

Hell, I don't even want her to have a lightsaber if it can't be red.
