I tried to watch Bored to Death, but it left me exactly that - bored... to death.  I got halfway through the first season and gave up.

As for Summer Heights High, I'm surprised it's not huge over there, it's so funny!  Creator/writer/actor/etc. Chris Lilley is one of the funniest people on the planet - he plays multiple characters that are focused on in documentary style.  His first show We Can Be Heroes: Finding the Australian of the Year was great too, and he just came out with a third, Angry Boys (which I've yet to see).  They're all one-season shows, so they're easy to watch too.

Let it Be...Naked would be perfect if the single (George Martin-produced) versions of the title track, "Get Back" and "Don't Let Me Down" were used instead of creating new ones.  They already had non-Spectorized versions of those three songs, damn it!

Also, I'd have liked to see the full version of "Dig It" on the album (though I'm not upset at the lack of "Maggie Mae").

My feeling exactly, all around.

I think I'll just make my own "fan-edit" of the albums and just splice together the best versions ;-)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  So funny.

Even this 'serious' photo essay is just a bunch of dummies looking at their phones. So far the only "damage" I've seen is a part of some drop-ceiling fall down in VA, so excuse me while I cease to care.

Oh yeah, and here in Northwest Ohio, some people claim to have felt it, but I was driving when it happened so I don't suppose I did.

The thing about Kane is this: no one wanted to push the envelope at the time. Welles pushed anything and everything he ever came into contact with. They thought he would do great in Hollywood. He sat around and couldn't get a project off the ground for over a year. So, you can definitely say that he came tearing out of the gate. However, they gave a young Orson Welles full control of the production. Kane is simply undiluted Welles on crack, with a great writer and brilliant and innovative people who actually wanted to do more than the same 9-5. Also, one must mention the fact Welles was usually on Benzedrine at this point in time. That's what makes it stand out. And all of the primary gushers for the film wouldn't even consider letting the man make another film. It took decades for it to even be considered as good, let alone even be shown.

I get all that, and I consider it one of the few all-time greats as well, but it's still a movie about a newspaper mogul, and that can only not be boring for so long before it gets boring.

I'm up to date now with Louie and I'm sorry to say that I can't support RedFive's claim that it beats most of those. Sorry Red. But I will keep up my subscription to your recommendation service.

I would also throw Flight of the Conchords and The Mighty Boosh into that list.

That's fair.  But I do support both of those choices.  Great shows.  Never seen Better Off Ted though, I have to admit.

My sister's cat does the same thing.  She won't drink out of her bowl unless she's stuck her paw in it first.  I have no idea if she's testing it for something or if she's just a weirdo.

Letting you touch her face and paws is good though, that's a sign of a friendly cat.  And my cat sleeps in boxes constantly - we have a box with a towel in it that he prefers to any bed in the house.
