Beautiful Women
Time
I don't think there are really any female posters around, but if there are feel free to make a dude equivelant to this thread. I'm all for equal oppurtunity.

Anyways Bossky has been trying to post some Scarlett Johansson pics in one of the other threads and it got me thinking we should have a thread to talk about who is hot these days (or in the days of old) and when ever possible to post pics of these lovely ladies for all us SE geeks to oogle.

Lord of the Rings...what's the deal?
Time
its a more intimate battle, and it reminds me so much of when I was a kid runnign around the woods with toy swords. Its like the ultimate expression of that. Where as Helms deep is more like the ultimate action figure battle, the kind of battle you would stage with hundreds of GI Joes. Cool in its own respect, but the more you can put yourself into a scene the more effective it is IMHO

I think it was changed to day so that it would not feel exactly like Helms Deep.

I liked helms deep a lot, but the Amon Her battle remains the most perfect battle IMHO. Its up there with the hoth battle in ESB. Its a perfect blend of music, acting, scenery and action. And not an effect in sight so it all feels completely believable (not that the LOTR FX aren't awesome) and it all ends with the death of Boromir which is one of the best screen deaths of all time.

EVERYTHING HARRY POTTER
Time
5 did justify its length a lot more then 4. But I think by the end there were a few too many subplots. The Hagrids brother thing wasn't really nessesary or very interesting IMHO. Meanwhile ferrenz the centaur kind of came and went, and the Ron+Hermoine situation was entirely thrown by the way side. I was so excited that they were both going to be prefects, it was such an interesting set up with no real follow through.

I did like that she managed to bring back essientially every character from the series in some sort of cameo form.

the big revelation to Harry at the end was kind of a let down as well, it wasn't really anything new, the twist about Neville was cool, but then they absolved it to quickly, they should of left that in question until book 6.

I'm glad Harry got rid of Chow chang, I couldn't stand her. I'm still pulling for him and Ginny.

Have you heard that Rowan Atkinson (mr. Bean) will be playing Voldermort in HP4?
