My favorite RPG is Super Mario Legend of the Seven Stars.

I loved that. Only played it once. I think I’ll give it another go soon.
(That is, if I can ever stop playing Zelda: Best Of The Worst)

I’m not sure if people are missing this joke or not, but I get it!

I’m missing it but that’s fine by me.

Maybe I ought to play Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask to finally see what all the hype it has generated since it must be babys first Zelda game. Maybe the N64 or 3DS version through emulators. No, I don’t regret not playing it when it was released when I was a teenager at all. Really don’t care if I play with mods or not when I eventually procrastinate to.

Still playing ASSASSIN’S CREED III and EMPIRE: TOTAL WAT. Replaying 1997 Westwood Studios BLADE RUNNER for PC. Not entirely sure if I’ve gotten all the endings yet. Would be great if there were another BLADE RUNNER game, maybe released by CDProjekt RED, but they have Cyberpunk 2077 forthcoming. No, certainly not from TellTale either.

BLADE RUNNER 2049

Wow, just wow. It’s literally the sequel I never knew I wanted until I saw the trailers and it lived up to all my expectations. A proper follow-up, the running time wasn’t an issue at all to me, and absolutely loved it. Yes I’d most definitely want to see it again and give it my highest recommendations. This is obvious since I love the first movie and all the mini-movies were a perfect touch leading up to BLADE RUNNER 2049.
Will be awesome to have both the UHDs for BLADE RUNNER and BLADE RUNNER 2049 sitting amongst my decent BLADE RUNNER collection. Wonder if Paul M. Sammon will release a book for the sequel. Future Noir: The Making of BLADE RUNNER (updated version soon?) is one of the best books regarding the behind-the-scenes for a movie.

EDIT: Makes me want to replay the 1997 Westwood Studios PC game but I hate that exploding building. (That particular game has quite a lot of multiple endings.)

Yeah, TCW was native 2.35:1 and then cropped for 16:9 for American broadcast.

Maybe the Blu-rays were OAR then. I never watched TCW when broadcast, borrowed the BDs from a friend (all 6 seasons), and watched the series in suggested Chronologial Story Order. Didn’t watch any of the bonus.

Wonder how the BDs for REBELS looks. Dunno which seasons OG Netflix Disc has.

Yep, the same format used for the trilogies and TCW would have been perfect.

Yep.

Yes, that would be great. Thing is, if I visit my parents and we watch a 2.35:1 Blu-ray, my mother still asks if we can get rid of those annoying black bars (“I thought HDTVs were already wide screen”). Can you imagine kids and their cartoons having this “problem”?

OAR or nothing.

What do you LIKE about the EU?

DominicCobb said:

Well there are more Legends books than canon ones.

Wondering if there are epubs of them and if there’s any specific timeline in which they’re set. More for certain books taking place before or after or I dunno.
Have all the current EU books on my phone, I think.

The LEGENDS comics are decent, especially from Dark Horse and more specifically the Infinities imprint. Included in that is THE STAR WARS. Would be interesting to see the current Disney/Marvel Comics have an imprint where it takes the original idea when Gary Kurtz was still onboard prior to RotJ and it would’ve been Episodes IV-XII. Better covered in The Complete Star Wars Annotated Screenplays.

Might’ve mentioned but can’t search for own posts, maybe I can on this weirdly coded forum, but:
Should’ve been 2:35:1/2.4:1 i.e. OG OOT & The Clone Wars, don’t mind the Ralph McQuarrie inspiration for character and other designs, more multi-part episodes, less aimed to the kiddos, and I dunno what else.
Would’ve thought they might’ve had at least 6 or more seasons but they chickened out at 4.

I thought the old BFII had it set up so that you could play with OT or PT armies on any map (but not a mix), and you got the corresponding set of heroes depending on which era you were playing (i.e. Empire vs. Rebels on Kamino or Republic vs. Separatists on Hoth is fine, bout you couldn’t do Republic vs. Empire or Separatists vs. Rebels). Whether that’s how it used to be or not, that’s how I’d like it to be now.

You are exactly correct. Just checked out Battlefront 2 myself to make sure. Also had some good time destroying x-wings left and right in a space battle above Geonosis.

There are TONS of mods for OG BFII on PC. Custom 7.77GB disc which installs to 35GB or so if all mods are selected. Very worth it.

Moon Knight would be great for a world hopping thing. Same actor for his different personalities and perhaps 14 episodes per season. Highly trained and should be in costume from the very first episode. No downplayed action. No idea who I’d cast.
Those images would be much nicer if they didn’t have the annoying IGN watermark. Cloak and Dagger should’ve been set in the 1980’s but that’s my opinion. Hyped for Season 5 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and hoping Season 4 will be on Blu-ray disc from Amazon UK soon.

Extremely hyped for THOR: Ragnarok. Way more than I am for The Last Jedi.

Superman I-III extended TV cuts & Info - Where have the Preservations gone? (Released)

That reviewer seems totally unaware of all the fan preservation work that led to this coming out at all. Bootleg videotapes indeed!
Call me weird, but I want someone to remaster the pan and scan version with this. The fan restoration is still an impressive achievement and it definitely moved the WB corporate colossus to officially release the extended.

The reviewer is oblivious. I don’t want the Pan and Scan preserved from the Extended Blu-ray disc.

The new Warner Archive Podcast on STM extended has just been released. There are many ways to get this, all it takes is doing a search of this.

Hopefully it’s not on iTunes.

MOVIE-CENSORSHIP.COM has only a comparison between the ALIEN theatrical version and the director’s cut.

I don’t have a Blu-ray drive, so cannot provide any screen shots.

Anybody still owning the old QUADRILOGY DVD box set - or the 2003 2-disc DVD release of ALIEN - as well as the current ANTHOLOGY Blu-ray release, (or just the Blu-ray release of ALIEN) can check for themselves.

I’ve the Anthology Blu-ray disc release. 1999 DVD release too. Kind of counts but I have no idea why it should.

Movie-Censorship.com has tons of version comparisons so there’s that.

The 1999 DVD release of ALIEN was only the theatrical cut. To view the differences between the 2003 & 2010 DIRECTOR’S CUTS, you need the 2003 DVD release of ALIEN (which included both the theatrical and the then new director’s cut) and the 2010 ALIEN Blu-ray (which also includes both cuts).

An example: The bonus creature shot of the Alien dangling near the chains above Brett before it attacks. This shot is exclusive to both director’s cuts. Compare that shot between the 2003 & 2010 director’s cuts and you will see they are different takes of the same scene. The camera pans up and almost past the Alien (for the 2003 version), and for the 2010 version the camera is still and stays on the Alien

I checked your link and there is only a comparison between the ALIEN theatrical and director’s cut but no comparison between the two versions of the director’s cut (2003 & 2010).

There are literally THOUSANDS of comparisons on that site I linked for movies.

Yes, there are. It’s a great resource.

But it doesn’t have a comparison between the 2003 and 2010 versions of Alien, just a comparison between the 1978 and 2003 versions, so I don’t know why you keep arguing about how many comparisons the site has in this context.

Because of the thread title and not specifically what you were typing about.
