Trolls eating spam?
Anime is shit boring to me now and has been for well over a decade. IDGAF.

At least I got mad money for selling the majority of my Star Wars merchandise. Some of the figures and books still aren’t sold. Dunno if there’s still demand for it.
Say the OUT/OOT is finally released on BD/UHD in a full-blown faithful to the source 4K remaster. No, I wouldn’t even care to own it. Does that still make me a Star Wars fan to be apathetic about buying anything Star Wars anymore except to see it in cinemas? Does it still make me a fan to want to rent said discs and then return them?
Hell, I really enjoyed TFA and Rogue One. Especially the fact we’re getting more Star Wars movies and I’m way past being one of those fans of "They’re ruining it!"
Though I would enjoy a Star Wars Story movie which took place thousands of years prior to TPM which would be an anthology similar to Twilight Zone: The Movie and Creepshow.

Ghostbusters - Criterion PCM Track (see Jonno's post; plus lots more info) (Released)
Time

I’d rather have the clarity and all the film grain from the 2014 Mi4K release but color timed how it looked in cinemas in 1984. No revisionist color timing but as close in appearance to the original intention would be great.
Unless if the 2014 Mi4K, the Mi4K with bonus features, AND the UHD are the intention, then all I need is the PCM track.

Ideas Wanted: for my 'Legend: Expanded Goldsmith Edition (HD)' cut...
Time

You’ll be retaining the film grain, correct? Hate unneeded DVNR/EE in fan edits, BDs should look as close to the original film as possible, grain, color timing, and all. Hope this’ll be on a BD25 at least or BD50 with AVC coding. If you’re removing the film grain might as well put it on a compressed DVD5. NO WAX ANYTHING!
Only have the USA Universal Director’s Cut BD with all bonus and was going to get the UK 20th Century FOX since it has the EU Theatrical Cut. Will be happy to get this custom Extended Edition.

Sergio Leone Preservations - Dollars Trilogy, Fistful of Dynamite, Once Upon a Time in the West (Released)

The stand-alone remastered Blu-ray of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly from 2014, has the original English Mono.
The gun sounds are all original etc. It obviously downmixes for the extra scenes, but it’s original everywhere else.
Surprised not a lot of people realise.

Also the Italian Blu-ray of Giu La Testa (Duck You Sucker) has the original English Mono track as well, with the correct music in the final flashback, but has Italian Audio for the final line “What About Me?”. But is infinitely better than the censored audio on the MGM discs.

I’d rather have the Original English Mono in lossless and not lossy regarding the stand-alone 4K remastered with the weird color tint TGTBTU. Already own Duck, You Sucker! aka A Fistful of Dynamite MGM BD (for the bonus features and did image comparisons in PNG on Caps-a-Holic.com) and will eventually be buying the IT release. Have The Man with No Name MGM BD set with the corrected audio 4K TGTBTU as the stand-alone release. Keeping the USA MGM DVD Sergio Leone set. Going to buy the DE double feature for A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More.
Interested in the correctly color timed OG film appearance with proper blues and whites for TGTBTU, both longer cut and USA theatrical cut. Was going to buy the older MGM DVD for the latter but if you’ve made a custom BD25 or BD50, even better.
I don’t mind having a few extra BD discs to put with the releases I own and will eventually own. Thank Viva for those multi-disc cases.

I’ve the OG 1999 DVD, the first Blu-ray release from 2009, the BD which is in the double feature with II and is the Mi4K with bonus features disc. Going to buy the UHD release when I & II are $15.
All I want is the PCM track from the Criterion LD.
Why not get a not faded film print of it and not how people “remember” it for a BD25 color regrade? Use the Mi4K BD as the source. NO DVNR or EE!

Idea & Info: Highlander (1985) US theatrical cut, anyone?

The original old DVD I have has that line when they jump off the cliff Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert and Ramirez shouts “this is the quickening!”

This is missing in the new versions…

But in all versions if you compare princes of the universe intro song the actual song they released sounds better than the home video version. It’s like missing bass or something or too tinny.

I think it would be worth a fix. Just saying.

I have never heard the American Sound mix with “I want to go home” and anything else it has in it that differs from the European cut. I have only ever seen the European version.

One of the other differences is “New York New York” Song something to do with the Radio and Kurgan playing the song or something that is a difference between the American Version and the European version I think I read. Have not heard the American version though…

Are you watching it in the 5.1 remix or OG 2.0 mix? I gotta recheck all three releases I own for this.

well if I could make the Blu-ray look like those still images I would. I spent quite a few hours on the bridge scene the rest of the film is not too bad. You can get some good results by simply applying a few Luts for everything in the film bar the bridge scenes which leaps about in color quite wildly.

I really did improve it a lot but…

In some shots the ropes on the bridge are pretty much pitch black and you can’t get the detail from any bottom end or shadows.

In my opinion it’s worth using another source for the bridge scenes some shots are just too far gone and ruined by what they did with the massive blue tint and probably darkening.

It’s also very difficult to get the red out when there is a big blue tint.

I have not looked at any other sources but I am pretty sure that they destroyed detail on the bridge with the weird color scheme.

Lazy color grading rather than commit to sorting out an issue.

There’s both the USA and FR or whichever Blu-ray releases which have slightly different color timing. Of course with BD it’s better color than DVD and grain rentention. Cause film grain is great and DVNR is shite.

Dawwwww look at that cute dog! I bet that movie is good.

Read the Dark Horse comics.

Frink doesn’t read comics, so that’s a no-go.

Anyone who still buys these shows or the feature films on DVD are stupidly supoorting an archaic format.

Alternatively, they don’t have the funds to make many BD purchases.

BDs are cheap. Just gotta wait for decent prices. I’ve found BD to be more affordable compared to DVD. UHD is another ball I’d rather not get into, except it’s expensive.
Of course I don’t want to pay $28 for Doctor Strange 3D, rather $16 or so on eBay. But Disney are price gougers.

Hell, I own Strange Days on Blu-ray disc and even had to import it from Amazon DE.

*obligatory comment about my disdain for anime*

Seconding.

I grew up with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and many other 1980’s movies. Used to own Star Wars on multiple formats but sold it all. Including a lot of the merchandise. Only kept KotOR I & II for PC along with the whichever Widescreen OOT/OUT LDs in storage. Thought TFA was fun and Rogue One was very fitting to have a movie set as though it had the same production design or look as the OOT. Only going to buy the movie tickets from now on and keep those instead. Never willing to own anything Star Wars again. Not the books, comics, video games, figures, and because it was too cost prohibitive.
Have been finished with it but I’ll still DVR STAR WARS REBELS and rent the Star Wars stuff on DVD or BD from Netflix Disc.
Hey, I have kept the vast majority of my Indiana Jones collection. Except all the posters I had got lost in a flood a few years ago. As mentioned in another thread, I’d rather own TUCKER: The Man and His Dream on Blu-ray disc compared to the UOT/OOT on the format. Not even streaming since I don’t care for it or Digital Copy, especially since I sell them.

Superman I-III extended TV cuts & Info - Where have the Preservations gone? (Released)
Time

Could I still have the Fan Edit, whichever cut this is since I don’t have the DVDs? I only have the Superman Anthology Blu-ray disc set, UK cause it was cheaper, since I sold the DVDs I had ages ago. It’s a beautiful set and still hoping SUPERGIRL, both cuts, will be on BD eventually.
Still holding onto the DVDs though. (The WB and Anchor Bay Limited.)
I’d prefer an edit without any commercials, just the main features and any promos could be accessed in the bonus section on the individual DVDs for each film. DVD9, please.
Denoise = remove broadcast artifacts or the film grain? Cause if it’s the latter then no thanks. Hate DVNR. Want it to look as close to the source as possible.

Hopefully you’ll be using the Blu-ray release as source. Not the DVD.

There is no Blu-ray release.

You must be thinking of the 1990 series which is only on DVD and not the 2014 series. Because the first two seasons are on Blu-ray disc that I do own. Hell, Season One on Blu-ray disc is only $12 USD and Season Two is only $18 USD.
If you’re still supporting DVD when it’s dual released on BD, it’s hopeless you’re supporting an archaic format.
Though I wish the seasons were on 6 discs instead of 4. At least it has DTS-HD MA 5.1

Yeah that is fine. I have never seen the scene with detective Bedsoe in his Car from American Theatrical…

And I’d like to hear “I want to go home” at the end after Connor has the quickening to see how that works?

Damn shame about the lost footage and soundtrack all being lost in a fire.

Although I have all the soundtrack from what was left presumeably from demo tapes put to CD it’s not the best quality for the unused music. There is still some very good stuff there.

I am sure if Russell Mulachy could have done he would have extended the European cut with the Kurgun fight in the office building. Don’t know why he did’nt use some of the deleted material he did have though.

Don’t like the new whooshing sounds added when an immortal is near in the new versions.

Oh yeah another thing “Princes of the Universe” intro song always sounds so thin is it like this in the American version?

Are you watching it in the 5.1 mix or OG 2.0 mix? I always watch it in the OG 2.0.
I have these two:

http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=15069#1
http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=15069#10

Keeping the latter since it has more subtitles and dub tracks.

OOOOOT, The Force Awakens, Rogue One, The Clone Wars (CGI Cartoon, Chronological). Whatever fan edit for PT, I dunno.
I don’t own any Star Wars movies in any form. Just the custom cuts since to me it’s worthless to spend money on them. Not much of a fan anymore but I will buy the movie tickets. No, no merchandise either.

Seriously?

LOL. RayRogers, if you’re gonna pirate, at least try to refrain from announcing it to everyone.

I own the OOT on Laserdisc but it’s in storage. Don’t own any PT custom cuts or if there are any Fan Edits for TFA I never bothered to get it since to me owning the Blu-ray disc is a waste of time. I’ll keep buying the movie tickets which is the only way I’ll support Star Wars and obviously renting the movies through Netflix. Not Streaming but DVD/Blu-ray disc.
It’s how I watched The Clone Wars by renting the Blu-rays.
I’m still waiting for TUCKER: The Man and His Dream to be released onto Blu-ray disc more than the OOT/UOT cuts on the format. Really don’t give a shit about it anymore.
With STAR WARS REBELS my buddy DVRs it for me. Or I bottow the discs from them and then return it.
