kk650's Star Wars Saga: Regraded and Semi-Specialized (Released)
Time

Quick question, and I don’t mean it insultingly, but if you don’t mind Leia being more yellow than she was on set, why do you care if Harrison looks more red than he does on set? I’d say red is a much more natural skin tone than yellow for someone who doesn’t have jaundice.

Just my opinion of course. I still respect the ‘semi-specialization’ you’ve done.

If you could only remove one Special Edition change...?

Anh: Greedo shooting. Duh. Although the mos eisley approach and the Jabba scene are almost as equally atrocious. The Biggs scene isn’t bad on it’s own but it alters the pacing in a way that pulls me out. Also the jump cut is pretty cleverly disguised by the cgi man walking in front of the camera, but I still find it to be extremely obvious and noticeable and it isn’t smooth.

ESB:Alert my star destroyer. Boooooooo. Why? Ugh. The original is perfect. I miss r2 not tasting good as well, but that’s not technically a SE change because the original 70 mm sound mix has this line.
ROTJ:Jedi rocks. Although I honestly like the film with the whole musical scene edited out as lapti nek is stupid too. Its like they took a part of the movie that was already pretty stupid and somehow made it even more stupid.

I, personally, don’t plan on going past 1080p HD for the foreseeable future

As a fairly new owner of a not-too-expensive 4k set, I can tell you that you’re missing out.

I can believe that, just because on my 65 inch the difference between 720p and 1080p is noticeable enough to go for the 1080 if possible (though 720 still looks very good) so 4k being noticeably better sounds reasonable.

I’ve heard that Zelda II is actually pretty good, just a departure from the norm.

I usually take time to replay Ocarina of Time once a year, but life has been too crazy for me to get it done for a few years now. I do have the fancy 3D Remastered edition on 3DS though, and it’s decent, but I’ll miss the chanting in the Fire Temple ambience.

Play the n64 version on an emulator with the texture pack. The graphics are honestly better than the 3ds version and you still get the chanting.

I too try to play it about once a year.
