What would the bespin ice cream man have to say about this I wonder.

Not if you’ve got a good texture pack. After playing both N64 Zelda games in 1080p on a massive screen with all textures replaced by high resolution textures but in the same art style I couldn’t imagine playing them any other way ever again. I mean if you just want it to look like it did in 1998 but bigger then yes you are correct, but internal upscaling by emulators (for N64 it’s not even really upscaling it’s just actually generating at a higher resolution so no pixelation or blocks) has gotten very good, but with the texture packs like I said they don’t even have to do that because the textures are hd anyway.
On my display snes games look best with 2xsai applied. No it’s not faithful and it does to a small degree change the look of the games, but it doesn’t change the feel of how they look and on a screen the size of a wall it provides the best overall experience in my opinion, faithful or not.
Sounds dreadful, Luke is being tempted by the dark side and struggling against it. He snaps when Vader hints at corrupting Leia. Having him crush Fett to death is too out and out dark.
How would you feel about Luke decapitating Bobba the way Jules did his daddy?
‘Cause I gotta feelin’…
😦
Not saying this should be done, but I could envision how it could be done. There’s a random shot of Luke swiping his lightsaber across the camera very quickly but you can’t see what he’s slashing at. You could insert Fett into that shot and instead of cutting back to the inside of jabbas palace like it originally did you could cut to another shot of Fett’s body crumbling to the floor. The preceding shots would also have to be manipulated to show Fett getting closer to Luke though.
Van Helsing.
Feck off I like the atmosphere.
It’s goofy at times but lot of fun. I bought it on HD DVD even. And probably better than Universal’s recent attempts at a monster franchise. I still don’t get how being a vampire allows you to walk up walls though.
I’ve seen many people bash it and claim it’s B movie level. It’s got some cheesy action as you said but come on it’s still a decent movie with a nice chilly Transylvanian atmosphere. I’ve considered making a basic fanedit that just trims some of the silly shots to keep the tone more constant.

I’ve definitely been there before. Every day was a struggle just to get through to get to my home alone time. Some great friends helped me get out of that funk.
On the subject of the Berenst(a/e)in Bears, I’ve learned that some mislabeled videotapes of the cartoon may exist.
You mean you may have found a couple that the alternate universe forgot to tarnish?
The lenses are also quite a bit sharper than my last ones
You’re not supposed to rub the lenses directly into your eye.
Well I’m not going nearly that far to say I’ve lost respect for Dom just because of that comment, but it was sortof a dick thing to say and pretty snobby, but then again he might have just been mocking the other people who state their own opinions as facts around here so I’m not gonna ruffle his pedigoats about it.
Oh wait you actually thought I was being a dick? Nah man, saying your opinion is wrong isn’t me being dickish, just me being silly. Most people when they’re dicks about stuff like that they don’t say “but that’s okay,” they usually question your mental capacity or something.
Personally I can’t watch the blu-ray anymore without thinking how bad it looks, but that doesn’t mean I think people who don’t think that are stupid.
I also don’t mind the FOTR extended blu-ray or the Aliens blu-ray. So I’m not really that anal about it, though I do get it.
I understand. I’ve probably just been reading too many posts from ImpScum lately.

Bobby Brown (goes down)-Frank Zappa
I tried to find the right photo of Luke saying “I care” but I couldn’t find it.
How. Just how.
what?
That picture is in every other page of each thread on the forum. I don’t even know what’s happening.
You mean the the pic where he actually says I care is on every other page of each thread on the forum? Somehow I have missed it. Maybe you mean every other page of each thread in the Star Wars section on the forum?

Nah man the 2011 colors are pretty much shit.
Yeah I’ve never actually seen anybody complain about them outside of this forum besides maybe fanedit.org. I personally don’t like despecialized colors (everything else about it is amazing), and yes 2.7 is better but I’m not going to say it’s shit. The 2011 colors bother me in a few places, but I would say less than 5 places.
I mean you’re wrong but that’s okay.
Thanks for not being a dick about somebody else’s personal preference, we have enough of that around here anyway.

Can you guys please just start your own “Rape and Incest in Star Wars” thread?
I am surprised that DE has not yet made one.
I see you arrived here from the past via a time machine.
I have just noticed he already made one. I guess his reputation is well deserved.
If my reputation was well deserved, I’d be a pathokinetic serial killer.
Sick burn?
It looks better for sure, but I still prefer the overall look of the 2011 colors for the most part, although I will concede that at times they do look red in the face, especially aboard the tantive iv.
You (or anyone) might also check the early pages of the thread for my eventual fanedit of rotj. I’ve now opted for a more conservative “phantom editor” style approach but in the early days I was considering something far more radical and there’s some interesting discussion on it. Just keep in mind I was like 14 or 15 when I started that that thread 8 years ago so I myself was annoying lol.
I definitely wish they had been a bit brighter but the colors don’t bother me.
Star Wars is one I actually agree with. Not sure what the status of the Blu is but I remember the DVDs were terrible - specifically the blue snow on Hoth in ESB and the lightsabers during the final battle in ROTJ.
The lightsabers are an issue I definitely see, but I think they dialed back the blue on hoth.
I mean yeah they’re definitely different and Mike’s look fine but honestly harmys look weird to me. Too much yellow and green. Obviously the Blu Ray colors are unfaithful to the original colors but they don’t look worse and most of the time to me they look better.
Yeah even for star wars for me honestly. People go on and on about how terrible the Blu Ray look and how botched the colors are and some even say they are unwatchable and I’m like… Yeah I guess they are a little dark sometimes?
(Content changes aside obviously)
I hate to be a resolution snob, but would a high bit rate 1080p version be possible? I watch on an enormous screen (by home viewing standards anyway… 125 inches) and on that size the difference between 720 and 1080 is actually noticeable. And I’m very interested in this edit.

Obviously I don’t know the situation but maybe there’s more to it that you don’t know and it turns out to be a misunderstanding or miscommunication. I know I’ve made that mistake before.
