You can pretend words mean whatever you want em to, but that’s just not how it works.

Yes it is. Words mean whatever to whomever is using them, and to whomever they are communicating with. I was not communicating directly to you, therefore I was not holding myself to your standard of definition.

Words change over time depending on usage, and there is no dictionary definition regarding whether the word “seen” is defined as meaning “all” or “in part”, nor if in part how much in part or of what part.

You’re buckets, chicken agrees purple Jimi Hendrix turbo moist.

In other words, “I suppose you could be right that words mean whatever to whomever is using them.”

Penultimate Movie Seen

It’s penultimate movie seen, not penultimate movie partially seen. There’s only one valid interpretation. If a friend asked you if you’d seen a movie but you’d only watched half of it, would you just say “yes I’ve seen it”? No, if you’re a decent human being you would say something to the effect of “I’ve seen part of it.”

I know this wasn’t at all the point of your post but there N64 Zelda games have pro logic surround as well. They just don’t have the pro logic logo. Which is why I’m even making this post because a lot of people don’t even know. You just put it in surround mode and even though it doesn’t say anything about pro logic it absolutely works wonderfully. Not just ambience, things happening behind the camera come out the rear speakers only. Test it by throwing a bomb behind the camera. OOT doesn’t say anything other than ‘surround’ mode, MM does actually say ‘dolby surround’ on it. But not very many N64 games had this so just thought I’d throw this information out there to anybody that likes the N64 Zelda games and has never tried the surround mode, it sounds actually very good.

Plus, if you buy the actual blurays (which you said you just did), then download them… Why would Disney even care? Yes it’s TECHNICALLY still illegal… But so what? You bought Disney’s product, and nobody makes any profit off their product when you download it so why would Disney even want to go after you?

If you move Luke and Yoda degobah scene, why is he late to the rebel briefing scene later? If you cut him from the scene, why does he appear on the shuttle later? I used to think you should cut all familiar characters from the briefing scene since they mostly just bring cheese, and maybe we still should. Is it too big for the audience to just assume han and co were chosen to command the shuttle without seeing it happen?

what I’m really saying is that I’m a fan of Nintendo and I want to want the Wii U. But at $250 and with no major exclusives that I don’t already have, I can’t justify it and it makes me sad to say so.

Trade “Wii U” for “Switch” and “$250” for “$500” and I totally agree.
The WiiU can run every console Zelda title since the gamecube’s WW.
That’s four games and two remakes. The Switch can only run one.

I’m not knockin’ your choice, I just don’t care to own a Switch yet.

Technically it can run every console Zelda game ever if you factor in the virtual console. So make that 7 and two remakes. 8 if you count the fact that twilight princess had a straight up Wii version that it can run, 10 if you have nintendont so you can run the original GameCube versions. (A very noninvasive and safe softmod. The wiiu can run GameCube games in Wii mode without any special modifications it basically just refuses, all nintendont does is tell it to chill it’s beans and go ahead and load that shit fam, also it loads them in Wii mode so you can play GameCube games with the normal pro controller or classic controller. )

You weren’t replying to me, but you also weren’t having a private conversation. In public, other people in the room are allowed to chime in now and then.

Absolutely, unfortunately you seemed to have missed the point of the post, which was merely to point out the advantages of emulating the specific two Zelda games for N64 over the console or even on a wii.

(ahem BOTH ZELDAS cough)

Both? …Oh! You mean both N64 Zelda games. For me, those are just two among many, given that I have every Zelda game ever made for a set top console (except the HD remakes for Wii U). Since I can play every single one of them with my Wii and my Switch, I don’t bother with emulating them on my PC.

Hey, great, I wasn’t replying to you though. And yes your Wii can play them, but not in 1080p with enhanced high definition texture packs.

They’re are certainly some games that don’t work well with emulation and should be played on the real thing, but there are also many cases (ahem BOTH ZELDAS cough) where emulation can provide a Superior experience to the real thing. Not just generating the models at a higher resolution but also hi defv texture packs, of which there are some for Zelda that maintain the same tone and art style but at a higher resolution and with actual fine detail.
