Regardless of country of origin, the original voicework with subtitles is always superior to an english dub. I had to watch a load of foreign films in college and the english dubs were always unwatchable.

Might be different for cartoons though lol. It usually isn’t. The only anime I ever got into was Inuyasha and it’s English dub was mostly better as far as voices matching character speaking, and the acting on it is actually very solid too. Better than the original dub even. The only thing I don’t like about it is that they decided they needed to lip sync accurately (as in having the mouth flaps sync up) and so some of the dialogue is awkwardly phrased.

Yeah but adding in something like the hulk in a movie about Norse gods doesn’t seem to be the answer to me. I mean I’m not saying it’s objectively bad but it’s just not for me.

Yes. I like the whole Norse thing. Obviously it’s all silly and fictional, and maybe it plays better in the comics, and I haven’t seen the second movie, but I liked the first one and having something like the hulk in it just sounds like it would totally change the vibe into something I wouldn’t go to thor to get.
