Okay, well you’re complaining you can’t have the oot in HD but also refuse to take the necessary steps to get it (ethically if not legally) so what would you call it?

Perhaps it’s being stubborn. I could also call it staying loyal to the cause that originated this forum.

I get that to you it’s a moral stance, but you have to understand its accomplishing nothing but depriving you of seeing the movie you want to see. And at the end of the day it is, after all, just a movie. Just let yourself enjoy it even if it is unofficial.

Possibly. I’m not doing anything right now I’m just kinda being distant. Maybe she’ll get tired of that and move on, or maybe if I snap out of it the bridge won’t be burned.

And this is why I bring up Gary Mitchell, Q, Trelane, Apollo, Plato’s Stepchildren, Vulcan’s, Betazoids, Deltans, Star Trek V, and so many others. If you want to claim that the Force is magic, you have to account for all the exact same activities (and often stronger and more powerful and even more fantastic) in Star Trek. Star Trek and Star Wars are in the exact same genre. Star Trek has plenty of stories inspired by myths and legends. It is Horatio Hornlower in space. Wagon Train to the stars. Inspired by Forbidden Planet. Star Trek had less science fiction behind it when it started that Star Wars did. Both brought on science fiction writers (many in Star Trek and Leigh Brackett for TESB, but also Alan Dean Foster for the novelization and a sequel idea and Brian Daly and L. Neil Smith for the first EU/Legends novels). So Star Wars is steeped in Science Fiction, from its inspirations to those who contributed to it.

How long would you have to actually be in the sun for that?

I’m not suicidal like I once was. But I’m still in a funk. I drink way more than a person should. I still sorely miss my ex who disappeared without warning in January. I’m getting over it to where I’m not lovesick and heartbroken every day like I was but I still miss her. And when I’m out and see her I can tell by the way she looks at me that she misses me too, but somethings keeping her back. I’ll probably never understand. I don’t think even she understands. I’m starting to get a little less depressed about it. I’ve went on a few dates, all of them went well but none of them went anywhere because I’m just not capable of feeling anything for anybody right now but her. I’m in an unfortunate situation now with a girl I’ve been seeing the past week or so. She’s great. She really likes me. Really really likes me. She’s pretty. Great personality. Put together, good job, the whole package. But I just don’t feel anything for her like I wish I did. And I’m going to have to break that to her pretty soon before it gets worse. And I don’t want to. I hate hurting people. And she didn’t do anything to deserve it, and she really likes me. I thought I liked her too, and she is definitely deserving of it, but I just don’t. I like talking to her, like on the phone in texts and stuff. But when it’s time for the actual date I just want it to end. I hate letting people down.

Sometimes I feel that way too. Sometimes I don’t.
