Great work there! šš¼šš¼
Great work there! šš¼šš¼
Fantastic! Please let us all know when itās ready!
Will you be making a separate audio track available, that we can add into our copies of the edit?
Thatās a subtle, but fantastic change!
The explosion with no shake, plus Yavin in there looks great!
The colour correction looks fantastic!
The pink hues throughout the Tatooine sequences always looked wrong; if you could restore them to a proper sand colour, then that would be amazing!
The cc is working out better than expected.

Very nice!

Comp (WIP)
Here it is with the lightsaber:
ignore the color issues.
That looks fantastic! I hope that you include it in V2! ššš¼
You could access the US Apple site whilst using a VPN if that helps?

I donāt have any Apple products or accounts, so I canāt sign in and buy itā¦
Itās available on the Google Play store, however it doesnāt state if itās the 1.2GB version or not:

The ones I have are 304x640, which came out of an .epub file, of which I donāt even remember where it came from. They look decent when upscaled, but still not amazing.
My .epub file is 519mb, and according to the Apple Books website, their version is 1.2gb, so it seems that the video files would be a lot better.
I canāt buy or download that version of the eBooks (looks like they arenāt avalible in Australia?) but it looks pretty confirmed that the video files would look a lot better. Best way to get it would be to download it to an iPhone/iPad/iPad, and sync it to a PC/Mac, and then figure out how to extract it from there.
Hopefully someone is able to get that raw ebook file, Iād love to crack into it and get the higher res video files. Would do wonders for many projects around here.
Well done! What is the new plugin you acquired?
That shot looks great!
Looks good!!
Glad to hear youāre getting back into the edit!
Looks good!
I just watched the smaller encode version, and mate you have made a fantastic edit! I thoroughly enjoyed watching it; the colours are beautiful, it sounds great, and the visual changes you made all look fantastic.
Thank you for sharing your hard work with the fan edit community!! š
I echo what cOrpze wrote; a lot of the edit had some good parts, however a lot of it seemed a bit off and unfinished too. Various parts of the film that were truncated or cut didnāt have smooth audio or video cuts, and were quite noticeably cut.
Endor now looks far too yellow, and the scale and perspective of the re-done Death Star and Endor shots look incorrect. I could go on, however I think that cOrpze covered the other noticeable things in the edit.
Using non-ROTJ music seems out of place, and many editing choices seemed to be borne out of a subjective dislike of the film and story, rather than making cuts in order to improve the film. The story is the most important part; removing things simply out of disliking them (such as removing Ewoks, Obi-Wanās āpoint of viewā line, and most of the Jabbaās Palace sequence etc) detracts from the overall story, and breaks the flow of the film.
To each his own; itās your edit, so you can do things however you wish!
Hahaha nice one!
Thatās great news!
Thanks for all of the work youāve put into this!

Will you eventually provide a higher quality version? The artifacts from the video compression are pretty clear and distracting.Something seems off with the overall sound mix. I have a 7.2.2 system and no matter what I do with the receiver the audio that should be on the center channel comes out from other speakers. It also suffers from heavy compression.
i made the 5.1 channels into 6 mono channels which seems like the best option. even pixeljoker does it this way. i exported it as 5.1 so i should be fine i guess. it sounds pretty okay to me.
I also found the artifacts a bit distracting tooā¦Also, I played it through both my laptop and TV, and the audio didnāt sound great.
Will you be addressing the compression issue in an updated version?
Would you happen to have a regular stereo track, as opposed to separate mono tracks?
Aside from the audio and compression issues, the edit was enjoyable!
Would it be possible to temporarily shift a few folders from your Hard Drive to an online file storage system?
That might free up the space you need?
Alternatively, can you borrow an external Hard Drive?
So Iām having a bit of an issue.
After rendering the file to my external drive, It doesnt open and instead sends me an error message like this:
Iāve tried to render a portion to my internal drive and it seems fine.
but the problem is that my internal drive is almost full and canāt hold a 30GB file.
what do I do?I also tried converting it via AVIDEMUX but that doesnāt seem to work either.
Iām using Davinci resolve for rendering BTW.
Iād love to see your edit; I hope that you can finish it!
Sorry to hear about the computer hasslesā¦thatās frustraing.
Version 2 looks the best; it appears to have slightly brighter and warmer colours than version 3.
This sounds great - would love to get a link to this and anxiously awaiting Episode II and III!!!
Iāll send you a PM with the link!
Iād appreciate some feedback! Thanks. š
Hi. Iām a fan of the āAnti-Cheeseā edits and only watch those versions when Iām doing a Star Wars marathon. Iām interested in watching your edit. Do you plan to edit the remaining pre-quel trilogy?
Hey,
Yes Iām definitely going to do edits of the other two films in the trilogy.
Episode 2 is nearly finished, with only a handful of things left to do.
Episode 3 is around 60% finished.
Cheers,
Can I get a link please?
Of course! Iāll send you a PM with the link.
