What was wrong with Star Trek VI? Great Trek movie IMO, same with the new one.

No no no. Everyone seems to think you're a hot woman, but I just don't see it.
lol. I did think Gaffer and AxiaEuxine (probably butchered that) were women at one point. Should have known better because I had a female Avatar too.

What do you plan to do regarding the taxation of trade routes to outlying systems? The growing Separatist movement led by the nefarious Count Dooku? How about garbage collection on Coruscant? Some guy ended up throwing his garbage out his window and it almost caused my speeder to crash!

Octorox, care to expand on those filums et all? As im a movie hunting slut.
Im already 36 (edit: 87) hours into the Godfather triology and i aint got no ideas as to whats happenin with this shit. Im not italian....but im europe, and im getting over my issue with subtitles. So, i should love this triolgy, no?
How to do a linkey thingy in a sig i do not know....
Well, I'm not going to go into specifics but last year I liked Up, Star Trek, Inglorious Basterds, Coraline, Harry Potter 6, Where The Wild Things Are, Watchmen, and Up In The Air. Avatar was goodish. I have yet to see The Hurt Locker, District 9, or any of the others big ones this year.
I also saw Youth in Revolt which was fun if you're ok with Michael Cera. I saw the Men Who Stare at Goats which was pretty bad.

How old is the fictional Ms. Possible?
according the Wikipedia, 15-17, figured it was younger but she's still not legal...
but wait, the show ended in 07 and the magazine says 08, would that make her 18? But wait...she only aged two years in the show over 5 actual years hmmm.....I must contemplate this.

No kidding. Weirdest discussion evah.
I know, right? I blame you Frink.

I watched Hollywood Homicide, because I'm rewatching Harrison Ford movies. It was better than I remembered it. Ford was low key but good. The film isn't much of anything but it's good-natured and Ford makes it work if you pay attention to his acting. I'd give it a 5 maybe. Next film up is Thief with James Caan.
I agree with the view that Waterworld is underrated. But I think Citizen Kane is overrated, though Orson Welles did a good acting job in it. I don't share the opinion that modern film is crap. Some modern film is crap and some is good. And plenty of older films are crap, including many hailed as great classics (Raging Bull comes to mind -zero humanity in that thing). I don't buy the view that there was this golden age of film that's gone and that modern film is now all useless. I'm actually kind of fed up of hearing that modern film is crap. Sure, we've got crap like Transformers 2 and Gi Joe and Avatar, but we've also got films like Hurt Locker and Bronson and Harry Brown and Gran Torino.
I mostly agree. I think that there are a lot of great modern films. Also, I do think Citizen Kane is a bit overrated but not that much so

-Ainett Stephens? Leonardo, who is that? Pics, my friend, pics! This thread is worthless without pics! (Of course, the thread is about who doesn't do it for you, but I'll take anything at this point)

there would be lots and lots of other pictures, mostly NSFW, but I'm too lazy to add them all (also because it is off topic). but they will all show up in a Google Images search (turn off safesearch for the best ones of course)

also, to add to latest comments, I'll agree on Sarah Jessica Parker... uuuuugleeeee!
hot. but I've never heard of her so I wouldn't call her famous...

I feel like it would be way to late for me to get into this now, but I'm intrigued by all the hubub

lol at Kim Possible. apparently pedophilia is accepted in the cartoon world...
Sorry. doesn't do it for me, and I'm as nerdy as they come
Also, I don't see how you guys don't find Angelina Jolie attractive, I find her very much so. Megan Fox is attractive but not THAT attractive
Kirsten Bell and Taylor Swift I agree with. Both too thin and angular
1.) Citizen Kane
2.) Hollywood and American Film Class (Yes, I have never seen it before don't make fun of me)
3.) Welle's Cinematography, Editing, Sound Design and Storytelling techniques were all incredibly bold for Hollywood at the time, where movies were put out by studios in an often cookie cutter style and the director didn't have too much artistic control. The film is overall excellent and absolutely stands the test of time. Greatest film of all time? I'm not sure I'd give it that. It was certainly like nothing I've ever seen before but the plot didn't resonate with me emotionally as much as other film's Iv'e seen in the past.
4.) Verdict: 9/10, but who am I to judge Citizen Kane?

The two are vastly different directors this is like comparing apples and oranges.
No no no. We're not comparing them as directors. We're comparing facial hair. Did you read the OP?
Wait a minute...are you saying the beards hold the secret to directorial skills? I'm intrigued. Please explain further!
So THATS why there are so few great female directors.
And Lucas has the better beard.
btw SkyJedi ever heard of Jaws? There's a reason we watched that in Film Aesthetics and Analysis class and not Star Wars. Jaws was arguably more influential in shaping hollywood marketing practices, and the summer blockbuster

That's a very interesting idea in the PT, but I don't know if it would fit in the OT.
Well I suppose it depends. I see how it could work in the "saga" edits Farlander is making but as standalone films or OT only the changes wouldn't make sense.
Loving the latest mockups Angel. You really have an eye for visually striking design.

One more bug for your consideration.
When the clones are executing the order 66 in the scene that the bike scout troopers recieving the transmission, notice the belt of the front trooper. the back box/clip does an awkward animation ;)
-Angel
Commander Gree's belt boxes move when he kneels down to Yoda on Kashyyk too. if you watch AOTC in HD you'll notice that when Clones run or are sitting their thighs go right through their bulky belt boxes because it's just CG. when you don't design actual costumes for humans you get problems like that.
I never understood why the Clone Troopers were cg. They're supposed to be people...in costumes.
Wow, very cool and ambitious stuff. I like the different approach you're coming from. I started on TPM too.
eerr...I am your Father?

Well, only in my room. My home has 3 HDTVs,1 Plasma, and 7 SDTVs. I'm not a fan of watching films anamorphically enhanced, I like to watch films with the bars.
Anamorphically enhanced does not mean they crop the picture, it just means it's smartly encoded to display properly on widescreen TVs.
