When they finally got the thing repaired they stole the Airport card out of it (that's right they took the Airport out without telling me).

I took the thing back only to get it returned again with a note attached to it calling me "an arse".

I've heard hundreds of stories like this.

Apple has one of the worst customer services I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, especially when you consider how much I paid for the thing when it first came out.

Yeah, but if you consider Uhura's role in other Star Trek media, I found it quite odd how pushed to the forefront she was in this one.  I mean, she was touted as more a major character than Bones!  Not that it's bad to see Uhura actually do something, but I do get the impression (from that and the taking off her top scene) that they wanted a hot woman on the movie poster.

Well, you have a point there. I stand by the new Star Trek though. Most of my friends who loved it are females.

I think we are seeing more men sexualized in popular movies though. Twilight anyone? It's just a matter of target audience.

I think this is generally pretty obvious...and yes, it is sexist.

If you jailbreak it I'm sure someone will make one. Iphone already has GBA, PS1, SNES, NES etc.

So I finally decided to start watching and am like 1/3 way through season 1. I'm really loving it so far. It's a great show, I heard there'll be some pretty crazy twists though so I wont post in this thread anymore for fear of being spoiled :)

I will wait until they inevitably put in a camera. It looks incredibly useful to me though. When I'm sitting in my bed surfing the web a laptop is clunky, hot, and heavy and an iphone is small and prohibitive. I'd like to be able to surf the web with it resting like a book in my lap.
