Sorry. Already discussed elsewhere.
Sorry. Already discussed elsewhere.
My guess is, if the link is not available to everyone, not just the people that commented, then they took it down. Whether it was the person(s) that started the page or Facebook, I don't know.
The Despecialized Edition not only treats GOUT, it cures it.
Edit: I just saw the Facebook link. Good grief.

I hope that will actually be the case.
Indeed. Best of luck Harmy! And if you can't get it done "in time", no worries.

Would it be possible for someone to make this box for me or anyone that can't do such things? Please LMK.
Disappear, my ass! Not if we have anything to say about it!
Holy Schneike! Is that box for real? I would LOVE to have that!

Why do people even bother downloading the AVCHD version if they don't know how to burn it? The MKV is higher quality and will play on any modern TV from a USB stick... surely people can work out how to do that!
No it won't. Most things expect USB devices to be formatted as FAT32, and it has a 4GB file size limit.
I recently purchased a 64GB flash drive for the sole purpose of sharing Harmy's work, and it was pre-formatted in FAT32. Why they do that these days is beyond me, but it was simple enough to just plug it in and format it in NTFS to do what I wanted to do.
I guess some of us never NTSC that GOUT is our PAL.
Simple enough. :) Thanks Feallan. I'll dig up MKVMerge and give it a whirl.

Since it is usually wise to do the opposite of what Nearsighted Scrappile says, I think Harmy should go into hiding.
Did I say something to piss you off? I can't tell when people joke online, so I thought I'd ask.
Anyway,
About the sound "discrepancy", Is there a tutorial on how to make the changes permanently to Star Wars v.2.5 and The Empire Strikes Back v.2.0? My forté is audio mastering and preservation, so when it comes to HD video, I am still learning.
Well Harmy, a link to that "Star Wars George Lucas Doesn't Want You To See" article was on MSN for a while today! Dunno why they didn't give it a full 24 hour cycle, maybe they will later.
Okay folks, I understand the concern over Harmy "getting busted" with the publicity. To be honest, I simply do not think anything bad will happen to our resident Czech genius. Maybe, just maybe, this level of attention is something that these types of projects and preservations NEED. Let's bring this subject, since Star Wars is once again a hot topic to the uninitiated corners of worldwide media, to the FRONT. Counselors and group therapists always say to share your pain. Well, let's share ours. I highly doubt that any of this is going to cause a cease and desist order. Even if the Disney Empire, TCFHE, or Lucas himself tried to intervene in some way, it's just plain too late. The DEdamage is done.
So, I say let those articles keep popping up. If anything, it gives Harmy more initiative and purpose, and let's face it, the comment sections are fucking HILARIOUS to the point of wondering where the HELL these people come from.
When he damn well feels like it. LOL, seriously, I'd like to know that too. I'm still grabbing the AVCHD though to hold me over. If I remember correctly, I can just use MPC with the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack to play the files, as I am currently out of DL DVD's.
Thanks yet again Harmy! :)
By the way, it has already hit TPB.
Has anyone caught this article?

I wonder what that means, and what versions were scanned. Hmmmm....
That makes for a longer wait, but if that's the way the cookie crumbles....
All I could find for authoring is Sony Vegas Pro 12.0 Build 367 for x64 systems. If Harmy or anyone needs me to go after it, just PM me.
If anyone has names of software they want to try for BD menus, please pass them my way and I'll have a looksie.
As it stands for me now, I'd be happy just to have that awesome animated menu with all of the English trimmings possible. I'd get a kick out of the other languages, but it's looking like the final BD, until further notice, is going to be very limited.
Damn shame. And no Harmy, I do not blame you for this. Just stating facts. :)
Which may be a long time at this rate with the software limitations.
I tried to build a menu and make my own BD. Let's just say that my Vanilla Coke has a new place to sit.
I like Ewoks too, with some fava beans and a nice chianti. :)
Thanks for sharing that, DrCrowTStarwars! Someobody's a Dr. Who, MST3K, and Star Wars fan! :)
I was only 5 when my folks took me to see it in 1977, but I am still flooded by the memories of the experience and your post brought them to the front of my mind again. My parents weren't divorced yet, my Dad was in awe like the rest of us (not an easy task), and the community feeling was just incredible. Just by the music, intent, and costumes, everyone knew that imposing all black character was the bad guy, and they booed and hissed at him before saying a word! All they heard was the breathing. It was all a form of magic that will never be experienced again, and Harmy's work is EASILY the closest to that original feeling I will ever get. I just can't put into any deserving words what the DE has accomplished for that 5 year old in me, who now gets to enjoy it at an adult level.
Very nice, chyron! They look great on my HD monitor.
Wow! PM sent!
I'm glad everything arrived for the build, Harmy!
