Yeah I’ve brought up the “wind tunnel” occurring during the Emperor’s arrival before. The music is actually a hodgepodge of 3 different cues, and NONE of the source material has that flanging, phasing in and out effect. That tells me that it luckily didn’t happen at the scoring sessions, but at some point when being mixed down for God-knows how many prints were going to be produced. I have yet to experience ANY copy of that part of the film that this is fixed. It drives me nuts as an “audio guy”, but unfortunately it was used as the master for umpteen million releases, even the BD. If it were up to me and I knew how to work with video, I would assemble the track and put it in the film. But, it is what it is. Something happened in mastering and mixing that made the speed of the film change slightly from the sound going on at the same time or vice versa. So yes, Ben Burtt makes mistakes like everyone else.

At about 1:42:26 when R2-D2 is malfunctioning from being shot, aren’t a couple of the attachments on his head from the SE or BD?

Is the current Despecialized Edition of Return of the Jedi the [for all intents and purposes] final version? Or are you still working on it? Im very excited to download the trilogy and I plan on burning them individually onto BR disks and creating custom menus and whatnot for them, so Im just curious to know if I should wait off on Jedi for the time being if there is another version being worked on.

A workprint for the upcoming version 2.0 of ROTJ is currently making the rounds. It’s more or less a test and feedback kinda thing. But, the finished v2.0 will be done as soon as Harmy can make it happen within his schedule. If I were you, I’d wait for 2.0 to make a label and burn a BD with.

Yes, it was at 30:34 that I was talking about. When I went back to the scene and played it a second time, it definitely did not appear nearly as jarring and fit in nicely. Again, I can only thank my crappy eye condition for needing a second viewing. Sorry for any trouble that may have popped up.

I’m sure you’re already aware of this, but there is a closeup of Luke on the Tatooine Skiff that looks worse than a TeleSync. It only lasts a few seconds, but man does it shock the eyes!

My apologies if it’s already been noted, but the “Bring Solo and the Wookiee to me. They will suffer for this outrage” doesn’t exist on this workprint.

I’m getting parts of it now, but I REALLY hate those captchas. When I was diagnosed with Diabetes, my eyes were really effected, and I’ll be damned if I can read most of those damned things. I thought my JDownloader 2 was supposed to handle captchas, but it must have expired or something. It’s worth the effort, but if someone has an idea that might help, I’m willing to try.

I am having vision problems and this tiny phone screen ain’t helping, so please bear with me…

Wow, so much negativity around a film that we haven't seen all of yet. I am just grateful that Lucas stepped down and anything would be better than what he would churn out.

I can't get JDownloader 2 to grab the 1080p trailer from Apple Trailers. Those bastards. If anyone has it or knows of a program that might have better luck obtaining it, please PM me.

My guess is, if the link is not available to everyone, not just the people that commented, then they took it down. Whether it was the person(s) that started the page or Facebook, I don't know.

The Despecialized Edition not only treats GOUT, it cures it.
