I absolutely loved that pinball game. The one that had the interactive video game screen in the back of it?

Also, there was an arcade podracer game where you sat i nthe pod and actually used the dual sticks to steer, like in the movie. Anybody else remember this one?

Family Guy
Time
I used to watch this show all the time, but then it got really popular at my school and EVERYBODY started quoting it all the time ( like Napoleon Dynamite ), so I just stopped watching it out of frustration. I'll still watch it occasionally though and it never fails to amuse me.

what did you get for xmas this year?
Time
Well, my Christmas consisted of odd little novelties:

- 6 packs of "Angry Scotsman Chewing Gum"

-William Shakespeare Action Figure

-A pack of self-adhesive mustaches

-A Cat-a-pult (see Archie McPhee's website)

-Darth Tater

-Monty Python and the Holy Grail Tim the Enchanter hat

But then I also got some DVD's:

-Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (ehh...)

-Batman Begins (the single-disc version, sadly)

-The Best of Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog (hysterical!)

And the creme-de-la-creme:

The Monty Python's Flying Circus DVD Box Set (I'm a VERY happy man)

Plus I got the Deluxe King Kong DVD (the one that comes in the tin and comes with "Son of Kong" and "Mighty Joe Young") for my birthday.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys: I turned 17 on December 24th!!!!

The Sad State Of Star Wars
Time
On the page that has Reason #1 ( the debut of Revenge of the Sith), I just had to laugh at this bit:

Sure, there were some who weren't wholly pleased -- no movie has managed to unanimously please so broad an audience as Star Wars fans -- but the overwhelming response was overwhelmingly positive. Even jaded movie critics who didn't get the previous prequels were won back by the epic tragedy of Episode III.

1. They used "overwhelming" twice in the same sentence.

2. Those dirty ol' critics just didn't "get" the other prequels!

3. The "epic tragedy" of Episode III. Ya know, I believe my English teacher defined Shakespeare's Macbeth as an epic tragedy. I can think of a lot of words to describe Episode III, but "epic tragedy" is not among them.
