Well, I read them when I was about five, so I probably would dislike them now. They weren't meant to tie in with the rest of the EU, but just to give the little 'uns a taste of SW life after the movies.

Luke: How did my father die?
Obi-Wan: (Says his response from ANH)
Luke: (looks at Obi-Wan suspiciously)
Obi-Wan: Is it answers that you want?
Luke: I think I'm entitled-
Obi-Wan: Do you want ANSWERS?!
Luke: I want the truth!
Obi-Wan: You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world guarded by men with lightsabers. Who's going to do it? You? I have a deeper responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You praise your father and you curse the Jedi. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know, that your father's death, while tragic, probably saves lives, and my existence while pointless, and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down inside, you want me on that starship. You NEED me on that starship. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think you are entitled to!
Luke: Did you fight and maim my father?
Obi-Wan: I followed my orders...
Luke: DID YOU FIGHT AND MAIM MY FATHER?!?!
Obi-Wan: YOU'RE GODDAMNED RIGHT I DID!!!!!
*awkward pause*
Obi-Wan: You must learn the ways of the Force, young Luke, if you are to come with me to Alderaan.
Luke: Don't call me young Luke. I'm an officer, in the Imperial academy. And you're under arrest, you son of a bitch.
THE END.

Any of his pre-LOTR movies would be fine.

Yeah, I agree. I saw a girl at my school wearing one just the day before yesterday. I almost smacked her in the face......

Playstation.......meh
Nintendo.............I've always loved them, but they need to start making REAL GAMES again, not crappy Mario sports spinoffs
I might buy a Revolution (BIG MAYBE), but neither of the others. I decided years ago that Microsoft's consoles can kiss the fattest part of my ass.
By the way: Is Kameo: Elements of Power any good? Because I remember it being on the back of the Gamecube box as it was intended to be a launch title, and yet it's just now getting release. Was it really worth all that delay?

I discovered Star Wars when I was about three, and quite by accident. I had found an old tape in my parents' VHS drawer and, thinking it was something else (more than likely), popped it in the VCR (yes, I already knew how to operate a VCR at age three). The tape turned out to be TV recordings of ROTJ, followed by ESB. I then proceeded to watch the Jabba's Palace scene, not knowing what the hell I was watching, but liking it anyway. I don't think I watched it all the way through until a while later though. I then found out that it was a series of three, and so I rented the first one cuz my dad said that one was his favorite. I didn't care for it all that much, I thought it was ok. Then my mom and I found a box set of all three movies (pre-Faces, the ones with the original poster art) and bought it for my dad, but I ended up watching them countless times. For the longest time, ROTJ was my favorite, then it changed to SW, then finally to ESB, where it has stayed for some twelve years. So I actually saw them: ROTJ, SW, ESB. My point of view of the movies isn't all that different from the rest of you. But the difference is that when I was in kindergarten, I was the only kid who had even heard of Star Wars. Those days are long past, thanks to the PT. It was more fun when it was just my little secret.

There's actually some dispute as to who invented the rock-on sign. Ronnie James Dio claims it, and Gene Simmons says he started it on the cover of the "Love Gun" album......though I prefer not to take sides

#4. I am a religious person, but that cannot be equated with homophobia. Just because my religion preaches against homosexual practices does not mean I hate gays and lesbians. Christ taught to love the sinner and not the sin, and I along with many others think that so-called Christian fundamentalists could learn a lot from practicing what they preach. Telling gays and lesbians they're going to rot in hell for the way they live their lives is just nonsensical. If people can understand that I appreciate them for who they are rather than what they define themselves as, I have succeeded in making my point.
Amen to that.

And I'd be willing to bet that the majority of heterosexual (straight) guys who hate gays or claim they are "morally offensive" sure don't find players like Casanova to be morally opffensive. Hmmm, apparently they are allowed to pick and choose what that book tells them is morally offensive.

Yes. It's not about homophobia, though. Some people find it morally offensive, others see it as essentially gay propaganda. Not everyone who dissaproves of homsexuality FEARS them you know.
