I'm still away from home but was able to find a few minutes to check in here. I'm glad most of you are starting to get your copies. Thanks once again for all the kind words. I really appreciate it! It makes me happy to see other people enjoying them so much.

carbonunit: That picture freaking rules!! Welcome aboard. I couldn't dream of a better response. Seriously, you made my day...

I'm sure digitalfreaknyc will get this going on myspleen as soon as he can. He's a busy man. I'd rather have myspleen as the one torrent source at this point. I do have some myspleen invites that I'll be willing to doll out when necessary.

There are even more different takes and lines than people have mentioned. When I was syncing the album audio to the 2004 footage, I had both audio tracks and could isolate them and play them together. I found it fascinating how many subtle (and not so subtle) differences there were. I even thought of having a subtitle track devoted to flagging the differences, but was so burned out I couldn't bring myself to do it. Maybe for Jedi?...

Busy week for me!

All the discs that were spoken for have shipped. I sent the international packages this morning. Of the 50 limited edition copies, 2 remain available for anyone to claim.

SKot, I have a copy reserved for you. I need your address.

There have been unforeseen delays with digitalfreaknyc getting his seeder copy. Hopefully, myspleen will be happening by next week.

I'd love to hear any comments from people who have received their copy or downloaded from absw.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
I'll throw my opinion in here...

I don't think the "quality" of my Lost Scenes would fit into a project such as adywan's. The heavily pixelated 12fps upscaled video would honestly stick out like a sore thumb. Adywan's quality is pristine. I know there are members here restoring the lost scenes footage. I think that the BTM scenes only being 12fps is the biggest obstacle in including these scenes with 24fps pristine material. Who knows, maybe someone can use some magic software that can interpolate the missing frames? I think the best fit for these scenes will be Jambe's SW project. Hopefully, whatever restoration projects that are ongoing will be completed by then.

Oh yeah, looking good adywan! Keep it going...

Wow! Thanks for all the interest. 10 of the 50 are still available. If you've PM'd me with your address, I've got you down and will be getting these out ASAP. I've mailed 12 copies so far. I can assemble around 6 copies in an evening after work. So, hopefully I can get them all out within a week.

I'm really proud of how this turned out. I've gotten better at this since TSOSW. Empire is a little more polished. I hope everyone enjoys. I'll try to post to absw this weekend and myspleen will hopefully be going by then as well.

P.S. I'll still send out copies if asked, but they won't have the initial run white cases and might not be the glossy watershield discs. I wanted the first run to be a "limited edition"...

... Just finalized the DVD! I need 5 people to help seed once it gets going on myspleen. First 5 PM's get seeder copies mailed on Monday and you'll be on the list for the nicely packaged version as well. I'll start taking names for that list early next week. To get a seeder copy, you must promise to seed for a few days and have a decent upload connection...

Thanks, JD.

Well, with Galactus' great assistance, I've been inching closer and closer to finalizing the DVD video portion of the disc. I'm going to run through the subtitles one more time tomorrow and then most likely say it's done.

All that remains now is to finish organizing the DVD-ROM and write an nfo. Hopefully, that will be by this weekend.

I'm going to be making a limited initial production run of 50 discs (just ordered all the supplies). They will be on Taiyo Yuden Watershield glossy discs and come in a white amaray case with full artwork. Those of you who received TSOSW from me when it was released will remember that I like to do the packaging nicely. As always, these discs will be free of charge (duh!) and offered on a first-come first-served basis. I'm not ready to start taking addresses yet. I'll let you guys know when the time comes.

Getting closer...

Well, the authoring is finally complete! I burned a test disc and things seem to be working fine. I'm going to have a beta tester go through it before I declare it ready for prime time. I still need to tighten up some stuff on the DVD-ROM folder. But other than that, it's ready to go. Hopefully, we're looking at under 2 weeks before it's out...

And finally some long promised samples...

EDIT: Artwork and screenshots moved to first post...
