Wow, some of those i've never seen before at all....interesting find.

Off-topic, but does anyone have Mothrs PAL covers? I thought I had them, but when I went to print them it I found that I didn't.
Anyone have them?

I have the jpg, tiff, and psd versions of these. Let me know which one's you want. If you just want the jpg's, I'll email them to you. If you want the bigger files we'll set something up...

DVD Labels

Well, a while back I posted a sort of tutorial with pictures of the results of spraying discs. I can't seem to find it anymore. Anyway, it is possible to get the spray on the data side if you use too much spray. However, I think common sense would kick in with most people before it reached that point. You're not looking to pool the spray on the disc, just several light passes to give thin, light, and even coverage. I always spray my discs on top of non-glossy newspaper (outside for ventilation, too). It absorbs some of the overspray. I've probably sprayed 500 discs and never had a problem. They look SO much better.

Just because it's PAL doesn't mean it's region-restricted. I'm sure this was authored region-free. I'd just make sure your player can handle PAL discs (most can, the cheap ones anyway). And, oh yeah, can't wait for this to hit segaflip's mailbox!

Info Wanted: Return of the Ewok commentary.avi (in ocp's RotJ dvd-rom - how to play?)
Time
I gotta go with meedermow on VLC. I encoded the non-commentary version of ROTE for ocpmovie with Handbrake on OS X. He put together the commentary version. VLC will play both flawlessly. I would recommend staying away from the crap that is WMP. Of course, I say that about anything with Windows in the name. Seriously though, VLC is IMHO the best video player out there. It plays virtually anything. The fact that it is platform agnostic only enhances its supremacy.

were all three episodes corrupted somehow? i can see ANH re-posted so i asume that is going to work.

i´m using agent as newsreader. agent seems to work just fine cause earlier today i downloaded some cover art from a.b.starwars

Don't know why you're not getting the files. I just tried and the files came down just fine. I'm on OS X using Unison with Giganews. And you are right in not getting my December ANH post. It's screwed. Get the January repost. It's fine. The December ESB, ROTJ, and SUP posts should be fine, also. Although, I'd recommend getting Mallwalker's supplemental disc. It's a better authored version than my post.

Classic Edition: Return of the Jedi by Ocpmovie (Released)

1.) Is the DL version any different from the SL version posted on MySpleen? It seems like it has a buttload of special features already, and a comment that you made (assuming you're tygerbug) implies that they're the same thing. Did I misread it?

2.) What torrent... place... are the CE's going to be at if MySpleen goes under in 10 days? My computer's damn slow, and I don't know if I'll be able to finish ESB and download SE Hype and RotJ before that long.

The DL has a higher bitrate and the convenience of having all the dvd-rom extras on the same disc. The SL doesn't have the dvd-rom extras on the same disc. They were taken from the DL and are being offered as an add-on. Even though the SL has a lower bitrate, it is still of excellent quality. But, if you're wanting the dvd-rom extras on the same disc, go with the DL. You can get it directly from ocpmovie or download it from alt.binaries.starwars.

It was me. Let me see what I can do. I've got a massive usenet queue right now and will need my bandwidth for some other stuff for the next week or so. I'll let you know. Shouldn't be a problem if they've been posted.

STAR WARS: The Torrents thread

Just curious if the version of ESB CE being torrented now is the version that I posted on alt.binaries.starwars recently? If it is, it is not the final version. There is a little emperor easter egg "bug" in there that I did not know about when it was posted.

Fair enough, who can I talk to then? PCers anyone?

I guess I could still ask what I would need though--in generic terms I mean--Okay well obviously you've got:

DVD ripper
A video editing program
A dvd making program
a good codec (?)
an mpeg converter (?) (I tried making a dvd on some freeware and it only worked with mpegs)

please add or subtract to the list so I can lay things out in my head here (anybody at all who wants to add can *wink*)

The good majority of fan editors here are Windows users. I would suggest posting in their forums for help with your needs. I would also recommend giving doom9.org or videohelp.com a try, as they tend to be Windows-centric. This probably isn't the best thread to ask for help on anything to do with Windows...
