For me the only place that felt alive in this way was the original version of Tatooine, echoing posts above. The Dune Sea bones, the Jawas, Sandpeople, farmers, the space port. The movie spends a lot of time here and it’s all really interesting, while leaving a lot of unknown empty spaces in the desert. It’s one of my faves. But only the first time around tbh. I don’t care for the newer iterations that turn into a feudal world ran by space slugs and cartels.

Not from the era without thinking longer about it.

Many elements are directly re-worked into Fallen Order. Forced walking segments like Assassin’s Creed and scripted action chases from Uncharted are everywhere nowadays though I suppose. I wish there was a middle ground between empty open worlds and smaller populated levels.

But is that actually in the movie? His shots would have to be totally inaccurate and again still very OP - compared to what is seen in Empire.

During the Death Star escape/Falcon turret scene for a second you can see the eye of the first TIE Fighter pilot that comes in.

Han’s blaster in the original movie is wildly inconsistent, from Greedo’s death to the massive explosions on the hangar bay walls. As for Uncle Owen, I always assumed they just started a fire to cover their tracks.

Yeah, the similarities begin with the basic shape of the two paths and cliff sides, and that’s it. The rest doesn’t match at all in terms of the houses, rocks, or even that little light beacon in the foreground.

It’s all got to be normalised along with the special edition stuff, to stay on brand. Same goes for the Fallen Order easter egg stuff.

Same thoughts as above, good episode, wrong show. Seemed like a jump in budget too. How’s he going to get by in such a small ship though…?

I think they’ve lost me at this point. Part 4 was just a series of things we don’t need to see. Boba Fett thought it was a good idea to go into the Sarlaac and then lamented that nobody ever has any brains. Jeez.

It’s a decent game, but purely as a game there are notable problems. Mainly thanks to the terrible boss fight design that throws in too many fixed camera QTE sequences. It’s also dissapointing that after a certain point the levels start to become smaller and less detailed. The scope of the opening or the junk world is missing from Bespin etc. And yeah everyone hates pulling down the destroyer, a perfectly good idea spoiled by bizarre technical issues.

I used to just watch the GOUT versions until I figured out how to see what Harmy was making. Which means I haven’t had to suffer through the SE changes since 2006. What a relief. I’d probably check out other versions that came straight from existing prints but I just don’t have the hardware or know-how, but that’s okay.

If George wrote his own Silmarillion he would probably have Tatooine be the first world that was created by Space God.

Luke’s sister should have been part of a '90s sequel trilogy. It’s hard to have objective views on this plot twist after this long though, since it just is what it is.

Yeah but those are like mainstream movies with A-List actors in, not some kind of obscure cult favourites for people that know who Moon Lee and Yukari Oshima are. SW77 may be out on Blu-ray before Dreaming the Reality… but I wouldn’t bet on it.

People are saying he doesn’t feel like Boba Fett from the past, but I’m not sure this is even the same guy who wasted Bib Fortuna without a second thought.

Anyway have I missed something but why does he need bacta baths in the present time and not right after the digestive pit?

Part II showed what was possible, and was an adequate length for once which was weird. Part III was frequently jarring and laughable. The design of the gang and their speeders should have been scrapped entirely.

I love The Story of Ricky. Thanks to labels like 88 Films, Eureka, Arrow, Third Window etc etc there is a huge range of weird extreme cinema to choose from. But no Star Wars.

I actually think the animation looks great. I LOVE that they dropped the weird smile at the end for something that looks much more like a performance by Carrie Fisher.

Without the distractingly bad Leia I noticed how Captain Antilles has the wrong voice.
