Actually we have to just author The RAC and it will be ready. We have many other projects going on so when we get a little time we will release it.

Some people have been emailing us requesting a SL DVD for the Dune: The Third Stage Edition release. Some have emailed us and expressed interest in creating one but were unable to do so. We do not have a problem with anyone authoring a disc, if anyone who wants to create a two-disc set out of the dual layer have at it. 

Right now we are working on another project and it demands our full attention. We have planned on creating a two-disc set later on down the road but right now it's difficult to do so. One thing we ask is that you not alter the layout to much.

Don't thank me. This GREAT project is all the work of Phineasbg and Mitch, and it's truly an awasom fan edit!

 PhineasBg is the editor of this project (DUNE: THE THIRD STAGE EDITION) guys! I (Mitch) have had a very, very limited role in the whole release of this edit. My role is to get the word out and help with the release of the film. I have had no involvement in the production, producing, editing, or anything regarding this release. My friends, PhineasBG worked very hard on this edit and hopes you enjoy the expierence.

Fanfiltration is the one that inspired the edit that PHINESBG created.

PhineasBG is the creator and editor of this release.

I would not worry about the padding file messages as they werer evident on the Highlander releases and did not create a problem.  Bitcomet is simply trying to get you to upgrade and use Bitcomet. I do not like the new version (Bitvomet) therefore I will not upgrade.

As for Hiphats? I am confused as to how you are involved in this release? We are really thankful that you have a desire to get a single layer out to everyone but lets see how well the dual layer goes over first.

The Dual Layer will be released tomorrow and that demon place and that fanedit org place.

The famous and GREAT editor Alex S. from the Supermancinema boards says he is gonna start his restoration of SUPERMAN - THE MOVIE finally. This BIG NEWS comes years after he originally began talking about it.  The word is was that he had heard someone else was doing it and wanted in on the action. He has better transfers (1st gens copies of all the film, Beta transfers, original ABC transfers, etc... etc...etc... ) they are better than any of mine. I couldn't possibly top the great ALEX S. in anything releated to Superman. The guy simply is the number one Superman fan ever and that is no lie. He said to even have an original copy of the master from the Tv cut to use on his restoration. So this will be a true restoration.

However, we are still gonna create ours. We are in this for the fun of it! I am happy that he is finally gonna do it I was tired of waiting.  The wating was the main reason why we started ours.  Good for him!

As far as our edit goes, we are working on it as I type. I am so looking forward to finally having a clean cut of the film. Keep in mind that our edit will be majorily inferior to the great Alex s.

Hope everyone stays interested in our edit. If you are interested, however, in a real restoration head on over to supermancinema and check out Alex S.

Comparing the DVD Directors Edition and the recent HD broadcast I have found that it has no real differences (IMHO). In fact on the HD (which seems poorer) the picture is slightly cropped and the colors are more saturated than others. I actually prefer the Directors Edition since they used the original film negatives (RESTORED and BAKED) for the trasnfer. The HD broadcast used a film copy, this has been noted. I am sure what ever Fanfiltration does will be fine either way. He knows what he is doing!

As you already have heard someone else is restoring Superman KCOP also.  But we really do not care if his is better as we are not in a competition.  Good for him though!

Special Note - to a person who has always been there to answer anyones questions and lend a hand.

One small note to Fanfiltration: We want to add a big thanks to Fanfiltration  for supporting us for our release. Fanfiltration was instrumental and inspirational in our edit. I honestly think our edit would have never happened had it been not for his awesome edit, vision, clarity and outstanding dedication that his edit delivered. Sure their was adigitalman, spicedivers and a few other versions like this one (The Third Stage) which are outstanding edits (IMHO) but Fanfiltrations was the one that started it all.

I have been told that life isn't going very easy for Fanfiltration but our thoughts and prayers are with him. Anything we can do as an originaltrilogy community we will (I'm sure) stand together to lend a hand if needed. I also hope that one day the Star Trek TMP - Mega Set will be released. You can bet once the ST:TMP Mega Set is released it will be of the outstanding quality that Fanfiltration always gives.

This is a high-quality video of the original ABC promos and intro for the broadcast premiere of "Superman" in 1982. Whoever posted this just might have the complete original ABC telecast of the network version in the quality the video clip was in. This is not the Salkind cut, but the 183-minute ABC version that was derived from the Salkind cut.

This will be a tough task but I will search my sources ;-)

We will probably go with a dual AUDIO track - one Mono and one STEREO.

If you can get your tape form Sacremento I will take on this project of restoring this myself ;-)

but I need that tape for reference - I will do what I can with the taped footage - I will try and clean that footage the best I can. This shouldn't be a difficult project. This is a project I want to accomplish as a side project.

So get that tape..lol!!
