Rikter I just sent you the full TV cut 143 mins and the "Original Theatrical Version" which I caught on TCM in a few years back. It's in that first box... I remeber the Tv listing clearly as it specified Original theatrical version - maybe you can do a good transfer as it may be never shown again. Yes it is the original theartrical version folks.

I have the (encore movie channel) presentation which is without commercials breaks, it is a full video cut. very clean... I'll send it to you Rikter in the next box of goodie movies.. btw! the first box is Fed-Ex to you to arrive on Monday.. ( look for it) So I will throw the 3 hour cut of Waterworld in the4 next box.

While I was getting extremly frustrated with the Blade Runner project I have taken a break from that. (btw! I need a break)

I am working on a preservation of The Nuke flick ‘The Day After’.
This is intended as a Supplement Disc to the MGM release ( here is no movie only audio).

Features include

yA! but do you have the original transfer?

I own the transfer that has floated for a number of years. My father recorded it with his Beta and later was trasfered to VHS.

The version floating around was done by me about 6 years ago. It has bad pixilization, The curennt tapes that I have do not have that pixelization.

Its a shame that people sell that crappy one on EBAY.

I transfered it using a phillips dvd recorder on a 6 hour disc on EP.
I am currently working on trasfering it to four discs in HQ. This will be the Defenitive Version (unrestored)

I once wanted to edit it with the current DVD but there are so many difference it would be hard to.

The movie was recorded for me when I was young in a NBC airing. My dad has tons more that he recorded back then including a made for TV version of the Phantom of the Opera.

funny how I have brought this up on this board so many times and no one cared..lol

I have a copy of the R2 and didn't know it was better. I'll have to dig it out to compare.

Currently working on the title sequence as we speak.. I have to construct this from scratch.


I am useing -
The original Blade Harrison Ford Crossing title from the end of the International Trailer.

Right Now, I am working on the sub-text of the replicant, this part I am doing from scratch on my own. I am having trouble with the font of that, i want a exact match.

So far I have the Blade sequence with the title and cut to LOS ANGELES 2019. No sound track yet. I'll add that later.

If anyone is interested in my many rare titles I am ready to share. I have been collecting for years and it's time to give back ;-)

I have asked Rikter to upload a few but haven't heard back from him.

If and when this works out they will most liekly be on Myspleen.com, or I am hopeing do.

A few really rare titles are -

Damnation Alley - Star Airwolfs Jan Micheal Vincent in a Nuclear War Flic from the OOP laserdisc tranfer (note*this is not the crappy one that floated the net a few years back) also note* Not the goodtimes crap video either. This version begins in Widescreen and goes to fullscreen in the first five minutes. Very clean. No extras

Battle for the Planet of ther Apes - Extended Version /This is a clean 2nd Gen DVD copy from a OOP Japanese laserdisc. The transfer was done poorly but the color and xound is good. This version was commonly scene on Television in the 1980's. This is presented in a widescreen with burned in japanese subs) no extras


a few more I have.

King Kong 1976 - extended 3-hour NBC version/ This is the cleanest copy out there. How I know it was transfered from my fathers BETAMAX to VHS years back. I have the original VHS tape transfers still. However, I have since transferedit to DVD which is poor. I may send RIkter ( again if he is interested ) the original VHS. If you scene this copy before there is a 100% chance it was a copy from my DVD transfer. no extras but who cares it's 45 mins more of the film which fills in the plot holes.


Jet Li Fist of Legend Ritek Uncut version

Close Encounter theatrical version Widescreen

And a

Making of Alien Resurrection that was made for a OOP European Video - This is the full version of the short one on the long OOP US Collectors Video.


So as soon as I hear back from RIK, I will let you know. I hope he helps me with this, I am keeping fingers crossed.

I have tons more also but I'll save them for later.

The first DVD project from the X-Factor. XFAC001

“Blade Runner / The Restored Workprint”

For about two months now I have been tinkering with this project. Originally intended to be a a restoration of the original VHS Cam version of the 1991 copy, I have decided to restore using the best known prints.

Using these versions -

Picture

+Criterions’ LD Version of the International Cut
+The Domestic Widescreen Presentation from AMC ( still undecided as to the quality of the copy/ VHS rip)
+The Original Directors Cut DVD
+The International Trailer ( for the original Blade Runner - Harrison Ford Bladed titles)
+The infamous 1991 Cam WP copy - for various shots unavailbe in any print.

Soundtracks-

The 1991 infamous Cam version
+Esper M2k
+Private Release

This project will attempt to restore the workprint as close as possible. Alternate and deleted footage will need to be pan and scan and restored to the best possible prints to coincide with the 2:35.1 picture.

+The holden Hospital scene will not be insterted.

This version will be rough in certain areas.

Extras stuff on the disc includes

+On the Edge of Blade Runner
+Future 101 VCD
+and various interviews from the 1982 release.

Seeking for the DVD (if anyone can help) will be the Blade Runner LD extras in NTSC
any other Rare Blade Runner Prints or Soundtracks that will help.

Anyone who wants to work with me on this project feel free to BAM me a message.

Specially anyone with Sound and Editing skills.
