1) At 1:00:33 when Vader says "I told you she would never consciously betray the rebellion.", the disc skips a bit. On every audio track (minus the hidden one), the line ends up being "consciously betray the rebe-e-e-ellion". I don't know if that was a burn error or if that's because of a layer change and my DVD player sucks... It's a reasonably new LG (DN898). If anyone has experience with this player b0rking layer transitions like this, then let me know.

That's odd that even a new player would pause at layer breaks. Are you talking about when playing factory made DVDs or burned DVDs?

I have found Obtaining copy’s vary hard.

So I have been trying to fined the best way to view the GOUT itself.

My GOUT viewing tip is to watch the G-Force/dark_jedi versions. The aliasing and gate weave is soooo much better, plus the fact that you don't have to zoom in on them and the subtitles faithful to the theatrical. V3 is almost out.

I am talking the Original, no Special Editions of any kind.  I don't even like Star Wars with C3PO's explanation of the tractor beam deactivation.  I love the almost silent computer files sorting in front of the characters.  Very nice.

I don't mind grain but I do want anamorphic.

Any advice?

Yeah, it's called the GOUT (George's Original Unaltered Trilogy). It was originally released in 2006, and you can now buy them in a boxed set (as ChainsawAsh linked to), or you can still buy the original single releases (I saw them at Target the other day for $13 each- they have gold borders on the cover art).

If you're looking for all the DC extras, however, you won't find them on any commercially-released DVD, only on fan preservations.

Thanks. I can't wait to hear your impressions of these when you're finally able to watch them on your HDTV.

I still have my copy. It has a dark blue cover- the photo in the 1st post is actually the title page, not the front cover.

I think I originally got it because it has some behind-the-scenes photos that I had not seen before.
