I don't care anything about Red Tails, but what the heck is that? It looks weird in a bad sort of modern low budget sorta way, but Mark looks like he gets to ham it up so I'm in. (and that hair?) Plus the trailer has one of the best songs ever so...it can't that bad can it?

I was always under the impression (pre-PT, of course) that everyone thought Anakin died, and didn't know that he assumed the identity of Vader.

I really never thought about who everyone thought Vader was or where he came from all of a sudden. But the emperor being who he was, I guess it wouldn't be that difficult for him to say "this is my new guy- you take orders from him now" and nobody would question it.

The actress from Red Tails (forget her name- she's on NCIS:LA) was on Craig Ferguson's show last nite. They didn't say one word about the film (which isn't unusual on Craig's show- his whole schtick is going off on tangents).

Movie posters were all sent out folded back then. I guess the only way you could've gotten an unfolded one like that would have been at the printers, before it went thru the folding machine.

A Metropolis poster sold for $690,000.00, but it's one of only 4 known copies. A U.S. version of the poster has never been found and is estimated to be worth at least one million dollars if discovered. Check your local garage sales. ;-)

Are you a Billy Joel fan? I actually know someone who used to be good friends with his mother...used to, that is, until Joel's mom made a scene at the wedding of her friend's son. Kind of gives you a bit of insight into Joel's life and music.

Yeah- the stories about all the stuff that got thrown out and/or trashed are really depressing.

A SW museum would have had as many if not more visitors than the R&R Hall Of Fame, I think, especially if they'd saved all that stuff.

I like the soundtrack version better than the version that ended up in the film- the vocals are way better (I'm assuming there are logical reasons for both versions existing where they do). But I've always thought it was a catchy tune, either way.

It's kind of sad that there are so many pieces in private collections now (like Luke's yellow ski jacket--GRRRRR!)

There's a Gone With The Wind museum near me that has lots of costumes & other memorabilia from the film. It's too bad there isn't a permanent star wars museum like that, that everyone could visit.
