First of all, I really enjoyed this capture! :) Do you have any clue if there exists DVNR-free LD's for the sequels as well? Saw something mentioned about Empire somewhere in this thread?

Yes, as far as I know every SW-LD released before 1993 was devoid of any DVNR, the US SWE LD's (Special Widescreen Edition) and the Japanese equivalents, the Special Collection, was the first and last quality release of the films in their original widescreen aspect ratio before the DVNR, before the dark times. ;)

Ah, yes, these SWE LD's where the ones I was mainly thinkin' about!

Just recently noticed there was full activity going on in the JSC-thread, seems very interesting! :)

I hate that damn smearing just as much as you do!

How would you have done ROTJ?
Time

It has always bothered me that Leia doesn't react over Vader being HER father as well! In the end when the ghosts appear she doesn't seem to care at all about Anakin. I would have added a more stuff about Leia and Vader.

Felt the same about the first film as well.. Luke finding out that his father was a mighty knight instead of a navigator and he's like : Uh ok, wish I'd known him.. Shouldn't he be more intrigued?!

Harmy's THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Despecialized Edition HD - V2.0 - MKV & AVCHD (Released)
Time

Watched a bit of this today but had to stop myself after a while since I want to watch Star Wars 1.2 first :) I can't say anything else than that it's great! Everything looks fantastic! Well done Harmy, and all of you who contributed to this edition!

I feel a bit like an ass for commenting on minor things, but 1 thing left me a bit curious from what i've see so far:

Might be my monitor but does the opening crawl look kinda orange instead of yellow? Didn't see any mention of the crawl in your comparison.

Over all; pure magic! :)

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

These editions are beyond awesome Harmy! I am really looking forward to checking them out :) I went through the comparisons for the first 2 movies today and I'm truly impressed by the work that has been put into it all!

Hope everything turns out well with ROTJ for you now! Btw, forgive me if this has been explained already(lots of posts to scan through), but is there a v.1.2 coming for ESB as well or is that one final? I rather prefer waiting until you're happy with everything before going on to obtain any of the releases :)

Info: The Making of The Empire Strikes Back (Michel Parbot)

If it has Kersh talking, it has to be good.

Thanks for the info Sluggo!

Cheers!
