Okay...on its way. It's 200+ Mbs, so I can't use Rapidshare. Maybe you can put up the Yousendit link when you're done so others can see it too. I've tailored it to be as close as possible to the spacing and pacing of the original crawl.

Two questions that come to mind.

1) Shouldn't "darkside" be two words? That's how it is throught the scripts and screenplays.

2) I was under the impression that Padme has been voted into office, so having her "transfer" her title to a new queen sounds odd (this isn't a biggie, but it just sounds funny to me.)

"I always thought you could turn the six episode saga into three episodes, by taking each episode of the OT, intercut flashbacks from the Prequels (Godfather II style), telling Luke's story and Anakin's story simultaneously, and depending on what you reveal and when you reveal it, you never have to lose any of the surprises (Vader as father, Leia as sister, etc.). This is great because you only keep the good parts of the Prequels and don't have to deal with Jar-Jar or anything else you don't want to."

That's an outstanding idea! Then you could focus on the "meat" of the PT, and get rid of the fluff.

It's not that difficult. Just put each of the videos on separate tracks in your NLE, and resize them so that all six fit on one screen. I could do this in a weekend.

This would be something fun to do at a later date - when I've had a chance to wipe some stuff off my hard drive. At the very least, I would sync up the first frame of "Star Wars" from the crawl.

Choice is yours. I can put it on a black or "greenscreen" background, and you can key it out for your own background (recommended). If not, then which starfield did you have in mind?

I've not tried making a .mov file before, but it should be okay. Vegas does carry that option.
