I know English, 'cause I'm born and raised in Southern California. I took German in high school because girls took French and everyone else took Spanish (and the German teacher was cool.) I took Russian in college because I always thought it would be a neat language to learn (and I could do the countdown in "2010"), and I also took Spanish in college to help me as an elementary school teacher.
Oddly enough, Spanish was my worse language. German was my best, because I could think in German. [Firefox] "You must think in Russian. You cannot think in English and transpose." [/Firefox]
I just heard that Micheal Jackson is closing his Neverland Ranch. According to David Spade on the ShowBizShow, Micheal did this because the ranch is over 15 years old, and he's no longer attracted to it.
"HDTVs are widely available at reasonable prices and now is the perfect time to start the rollout of HD-on-disc."
Very much so, especially since it was DVD that revitalized the home theater market to begin with - more specifically, requiring a new reciever to decode the new AC3 soundtracks - with FIVE speakers, no less.
"I think it should obviously have the original thaetrical releses of Star Wars but say, fix the orange blob under the landspeeder for example."
I actually played around with that scene and believe me, it would take a lot of work to get it to look good. Removing the orange isn't too tough, but removing the same amount of orange from frame to frame is hard. It would look like the ground keeps changing shades of brown underneath the car, which, to me, would be more distracting than the orange blob.
It's not impossible, but such an investment in time will have to wait until the future.
