"A true /b/tard knows all the memes of the land and is disgusted by nothing."

"And I am a EX-/b/tard."

Ex? Does that mean you've forgotten some memes, or did you finally find something that disgusts you?

(Or are you no longer white? )

"Do they even know what "legion" means? Doesn't even make much sense in the way they use it."

While it is not normally used in this manner, it is correct English usage.

legion: adjective
1. amounting to a large indefinite number; "numerous times"; "the family was numerous"; "Palomar's fans are legion" [syn: numerous]

And the Bible probably wasn't the first use of this word either.

"but if they do choose to remove it, wouldn't the best thing be to just paint it out of the LD capture?"

Because the film has judder, the "blank space" might still be visible, and distracting. It's not impossible to overcome, but very tedious (much like everything else we've been doing with this transfer. )

"I think that's not the only difference between the two crawls, the original had a different word alingment."

Correct.

Rocky Horror How-to help!
Time
Ahhhh, I get your audio question now. IIRC, swapping channels in Vegas really just involves right-clicking on the audio and selecting swapping channels. You can also select one or the other channel to play. If you do this, you can also add a panning envelope (INSERT, from the top menu), and use keyframes to move a sound from one speaker to the next. If you are creating a 5.1 soundtrack, you can pan around all the speakers. I once created a cool soundtrack by inserting the Jaws "Da-da" sequence, and slowly turned the entire soundstage around the listener as it played. Awesome effect!

And vegas and Premiere will do the things you want to do - the problem is knowing how to do it. If you want to learn more about Vegas, I highly recommend this book: Vegas Workshop

I have the book for Version 5, and it has some awesome explanations and examples. I've learned a lot of neat tricks with it. As for Premiere, I use it solely for video stabilization and nothing else, so you'd have to ask someone else about that. I know Zion uses it.

Question about Tarkin
Time
In the Annotated Screenplays, Lucas said he didn't want Vader to be this over-the-top ultra-powerful bad guy, because it would be too easy to do with the powers that he had. Thus, Tarkin was put in authority over him.

Similarly, in the ANH novelization, Vader is one of many Sith, who are as much a servant of the Empire as the Jedi were for the Republic. Palps isn't even a Sith - just a politician who actually became overwhelmed and controlled by the very Empire that he was put in charge of, and became little more than a puppet.

Of course, all this changed much later, but the effects of these remnants remain, thus the questions of relative power between Tarkin and Vader.
