I IVTC'ed my transfer, but everything I saw about deinterlacing said "stay away", and for good reason.

Now, what you could do is put the resulting MPEGs (VOBs) on your computer, run them through TMPGenc, and cut out the blank spaces. Then you just remaster the disc with your own menus, etc. Of course, if your computer doesn't have a DVD burner, then you'd have to feed the video and audio to your standalone (if it has this capability). Unfortunately, this means you are recompressing your original MPEG again, which isn't a great thing.

Not on a standalone DVD recorder. It's been tried. Sorry.

Absolutely seamless changes takes careful work and planning for both the audio and video - down to the frame. Rikter was not able to see any "swaps" or "flips" on my transfer.

Maybe I should make Rikter torrent it?

In a way, yes. According to Lucas, the DVDs we are putting out are based on a version that doesn't exist anymore. He's washed his hands of them.

I don't have a huge issue with digital cameras if they are used correctly.

Point in fact, I loved the use of dual camcorders, one color and one B&W, in Blair Witch Project. It was very appropriate for that film. (I loved it when people complained that the DVD wasn't in widescreen.

I don't think Qui-gon was flat - if anything, he was TPM's saving grace. Jar-jar, on the other hand, wasn't just flat, he was two-dimensional....

No. Leia simply mentions "Her father", and the droids belonged to Captain Antilles.

Ironically, the novelization does mention his name.

Hey, I think for myself, what can I say?

I wanted to read the LOTR series, and thought starting with "The Hobbit" would be a good idea. I am no stranger to reading large books, but I found it a tedious read. To be honest, I'm more of a sci-fi fan, than a fantasy fan, and in that vein....

But he's not strictly a PT character, but I get your point. Of course, the PT Obi is a little bit defter with the blade, but the OT Obi is wiser and more popular.

The Wookiegroomer set is not anamorphic, as the only reason for it is to compare differences between the different versions - not to provide the best possible image (though it looks good for what it is.)

Actually, I did not deinterlace my video, as it tends to create more visual errors than it solves. As Rikter can tell you, my interlaced transfer did not look bad at all.
