What about you? The moment when you "divorced" from the Lucas policy about SW?
Time
Agreed ^^^

"a) you don't think otherwise, otherwise you would have said so, so as to make your argument as clear as possible.
b) you're being purposefully obtuse in order to give yourself wiggle room later while line-by-lining."

As I said, you are more concerned with what you think about people, than what people actually think. Considering the discrepency between your opinion and reality, this discussion is pretty much moot at this point.

[SNIP]

No point continuing this.

Anyways, you and the rest have a good weekend. Going to see the whole family at the beach after work, so we're busy, busy, busy.

"I'm not trying to turn it into something else, man, you are. I'm saying EXACTLY what it is.....Yes, this dude is more than likely 100 percent NOT going to do it. Yes, he's just venting."

*I'm* the one turning it into something else, and yet you agree with me that it's just venting. Hmmmm.....

"and excusing it because you happen to not like the guy he's wishing death upon is just weak sauce, man. There's really no way around it."

That's just your opinion, in so many ways. I'm not defending him, nor do I agree with his sentiment, but it's just venting. Nothing more, nothing less.

"If Lucas got hit with a car tomorrow, and that guy applauded his death, (as it appears he would) would you still stick up for him because he hangs out in a tight knit forum?"

Uhm, nope. Maybe if you asked what my stance was, instead of pretending to explain my stance to me, you would understand that.

"It wouldn't be as big a deal if this board didn't pride itself on the quality of its posters so often."

It *isn't* such a big deal, since Jedikev has been talked to by others about his attitude on this very board. Perhaps you didn't notice, but everyone else ignored this comment *except* for you. He's a self-admitted troll, and yet here you, playing right into his little game, and creating all this drama.

"Can't you see how that's a pretty thin reason to let something that screwed up slide?"

You make it sound like you've accomplished something in all this.

"And it's very disingenuous to say that there wouldn't be at the LEAST a public ass-reaming if someone traipsed into one of your threads, said "MeBe should die a painful death," if not a banning depending on what admin or moderator stumbled across it. You can say it wouldn't bother you, but the close-knit community everyone prides themselves on ASSURES that other people would take him to task for you."

Two different scenarios. I've no doubt someone would say something, but there wouldn't be a banning in that scenario.

"Be real about it, man. it's alright to admit that wishing death on someone for "screwing up" some fantasy movies is a bullshit move."

How about you admit I never stated otherwise. You had no idea what my stance was, so don't be so quick with the victory dance. I know your feelings were hurt because you felt that someone maligned your precious MF.com, but this little vengeance crusade is way over the top (which is your schtick anyways).

"But that's not really the point, is it."

No, it *is* the point. You just want to turn it into something else, for whatever reason. This is not an excuse - I simply understand the intent behind his post. It helps when you actually get to know the people on the board you are posting on.

"As a matter of fact, I guarantee that if he said "I wish MeBeJedi would just fucking DIE." there would be a banning rather swiftly."

As a matter of fact, it wouldn't - though I'm sure you would take more offense from it than I would.

Hyperspace
Time
Believe it or not, Lucas actually did this on purpose. He wanted the hyperspace "look" to be exclusive to the OT. I'll see if I can find the quote.

Well, here's some confirmation: "George Lucas refrained from putting an in-cockpit view of a jump to hyperspace in the prequel trilogy as he wanted to save the effect for the classic films" - LINK
