BEAUTIFUL WOMEN NEW RULES IN FIRST POST (NSFW) UPDATED RULES
Time
I'm not sure about that, but I do know how to separate the men from the boys in a gay bar...

"She has a face like a man."

Webby's body ain't terribly feminine-like, either.

It's like a man's body overall, with some smaller woman's parts slapped on. I'd pick Fergie over her any day.

The Cowclops Transfers (a.k.a. the PCM audio DVD's, Row47 set) Info and Feedback Thread (Released)
Time
That's why I always burn my subs into the video.

"In reality if the people producing the DVD don't screw up...there should be little to no difference from DVD to DVD."

It's not a matter of "screwing up". Different companies use different recording/mastering/authoring equipment and software. You can't help but have differences. Not to mention the fact that none of the people on this forum use all pro-level equipment in their transfers to begin with. The only person would might have come close was Editdroid, since this system was designed by Lucasfilm, and later became AVID. Of course, this is *only* the editing software.

Regardless, you can't reasonably expect home-made DVDs to automatically be of the same quality as those of major labels.

What you describe would be a nice scenario, but it's far from reality.

"who has done those extensive and great reviews of available Star Wars bootlegs on his site www.prillaman.net"

To my knowledge, that is actually TR47's site.

"You should NOT have to adjust your brightness and contrast for every movie you watch."

Actually, you would...even for THX DVDs. Even the on-disc THX setups are often tweaked for individual films. There's a reason why NTSC is nicknamed "Never Twice the Same Color."

Tech Question
Time
I don't know of a program that will create a new VOB with the video and PCM, but after splitting up the audio and video, there is a program I use that will convert the AC3 to PCM (I can't recall the name, I'll let you know when I get home.)

That being said, I seem to recall the sound may be off by a few milleseconds, but since I usually create a new MPEG with the new audio anyways, this isn't a problem for me.

"Erase the rear window in cockpit shots of Vader's TIE fighter. The model has no rear window."

Well, for the most part, we are focusing more on errors in the transfer right now (even my comment about the Ties in ROTJ is outside the scope - I was just thinking out loud on that one.)

Maybe Darth Editious could do that one (I don't recall what was on your list - TL, DR. )

"Don't worry: I know exactly what Laserman wants."

Uhm, Laserman created this thread so that everyone could mention things that they have seen. Let's not put people on the spot for doing "exactly what Laserman wants."

As I stated before, most of the defects are probably already known, but a little help doesn't hurt.

THX Ultimate Demo Disc

THX certification isn't required. It is simply a process that a company may put their product through to earn a particular distinction above other products. Some companies, like Marantz, are able to rely on their own brand name for this distinction, because they are known for putting out quality products.

Some audiophile companies have products so far and above the THX standards that it's not worth their time and money to submit their products, and make no mistake, it is very expensive and takes time. This is why companies like Yamaha only submit their top-end products, to make a distinction within their own line of products.
