What about Luke’s haircut?
What about Luke’s haircut?
I’ve done a final pass on the color in the timeline so it looks fairly consistent to me. Sorry I haven’t updated the mockup, but I wanted to save the final version for the release 😃
That’s totally fine with me!
I think some slight color correction on Han’s skin tones may be needed for the outside cockpit shot. The coloring and compositing does seem a tad bit off there to me.
How are the final plans going in terms of Rey Nobody? I feel the scenes that need to be evaluated for this idea would be the hanger scene with Kylo Ren, the Ahch-To conversation with Luke and the Exegol confrontation with Palpatine. V2 of Hal’s project is coming quite soon, so I was wondering what the status is here so far.
The workprint has been completed and released. I still need someone to help out with VFX and maybe even some help with audio editing.
She absolutely needs 2 cocoa puffs for those milky eyes.
The over scene would be a bonus, but not necessary.
Let’s stay on topic here, however, I wanted to point out that Daisy Ridley has hazel eyes, not brown.
I’m trying to complete the final promised effects for both projects so that they’re done around the same time. I have a deadline set for the first week of November, but this edit’s basically done so now it’s just getting the Ascendant shots done and sent to Hal.
Not to derail the thread, but you’re working on the crackly saber shots, right?
No, just the biomes opening and Rey’s eyes in the vision.
What about her eyes when she flares her teeth? The yellow eyes could flash up when she does that.

I can’t wait for this and V2 of The Rise of Skywalker: Ascendant.

https://youtu.be/oIbveyFMkKQHey dude since you’re working on the half-blood Prince now I’ve got some sound effects that maybe you can use when you get to the part where Harry and Dumbledore go to the horcrux cave.
Thanks, Robert. I’ll definitely see if I can make use of this ambience once I get there.
The order of the Phoenix just got a taken down man. Hopefully you can fix that
That’s odd. It seems that Internet Archive isn’t responding well either at the moment.
Well so apparently something went wrong on their end It’s back on now.
Great!

I don’t exactly understand what you’re talking about. Order of the Phoenix is still up on my end. I don’t know what it’s like on everyone else’s end.

Hello. My name is Noah. I have been a user here since 2018 and a fan editor since 2017.
I have always loved movies and entertainment, and I have been a Star Wars fan since 2005. My earliest memory was seeing my dad watch A New Hope on TV one day, seeing Darth Vader and C-3PO for the first time. I was born a few weeks before The Phantom Menace was released, and it was also the first movie my parents took me to see.
Since then, I have been a fan of many different franchises and properties such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, DC, Marvel, Terminator, Disney, Pixar, video games, etc.
I discovered fan edits back in 2013 through The Phantom Edit, Adywan’s Revisited, fanedit.org, and of course, this site. I always thought it was a really interesting to take an already existing movie and re-edit it to your own liking.
Years later, in early 2017, I was bored and thought about getting myself a video editing software. Once I got one, my interest in fan edits has spiked up gradually again, and I have been making fan edits since then.
As of right now, I currently have made my own edits of the Star Wars Original and Prequel trilogies, extended editions of the Harry Potter films, Spider-Man 3, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, the first Superman movie, and by far my most exhaustive projects, Sonic X: Uncut English Edition, and enhanced editions of the Harry Potter audiobooks (which I am still working on).
Currently, I am working on my big project of Superman II, and I am looking for someone talented in VFX and perhaps even audio editing. I myself do not have any experience in VFX, but I have seen some amazing work done here on Hal 9000’s edits and other projects, so I might as well look to find some of the best on here. I would really appreciate it, but also looking forward to meeting others on the site, as I’ve had a great experience here.
To me I find it harder to believe a shuttle could be found in immaculate condition with those huge wings and fin. I can headcannon that Vader’s personal TIE could’ve been stored in a more secure location which allowed it to survive the explosion (it’s still hard to suspend my disbelief on this but it’s better than nothing).
Also we see Kylo fly on TIEs a bunch in this movie, we see him go through two (now distinct!) TIEs, so it makes more sense to have Ben’s journey to Exegol be on a third and final TIE + the nostalgic imagery of Vader’s TIE right next to Luke’s X-wing feels more like the kind of thing they would’ve done for real for this particular movie.
I guess you could say it TIEs everything togehter… sorry.
I hate to say it, Hal, but I agree with Burbin too.
I also think that once you’ve gotten the face done, there needs to be some consistent lighting from the hanger bay and a window effect on the cockpit.
I also prefer the shuttle, I find it weird that the TIE Advance was chosen instead of the Shuttle.
Probably due to how poetic it is since Ben idolized his grandfather, and he flew his TIE fighter to Exegol.
Hi! How do I listen to these enhanced editions?
You can send me a private message, however, they can be found on Internet Archive.
How’s Han in the cockpit going? Is this the last change before the official thing is released? Haven’t been here in a while lately.
Does there need to be consistency in how crackly the blade should be?
Hey, Hal. I’ve got a question. Are there any “Rey Nobody” mockups that anyone has posted that you really liked the execution of? I have a bad habit of asking questions to people or telling them something that I already have, so I’m not sure if I’ve asked this before or not.
This project is now complete and available on Drive.
I believe MR did them but they didn’t turn out as well as he’d hoped. Something about the smoke effects or something.
I think someone else did too. I believe kewlfish did Rey’s training sequence, the underground caves on Pasaana, the encounter with Kylo Ren’s TIE fighter and pointing the saber at Zorii Bliss. I believe him or someone else also did the Force bond duel as well.
By the way, didn’t someone already do the crackly saber shots in the cave a long time ago in past thread pages? I’m sure they did, because I saw them on Vimeo nearly a year ago.
Honestly, I see fan edits as the creative and better alternative to addressing a film and fixing it. It’s a much better option than to complain and whine online like the majority of the Internet does.
The only thing that I can say, Hal, is that, they simply don’t understand.
